The Death of Elisha

20 Elisha died and was buried. Now the Moabite troops invaded the land at the beginning of the year.

21 As they were burying a man, they saw a group of people, and they threw the man into Elisha's tomb. When the man fell into it and touched the bones of Elisha, he revived and stood up on his feet.

22 Hazael king of Aram oppressed Israel all the days of Jehoahaz.

23 But the Lord had mercy on them and had compassion on them, and returned to them because of his covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. He would not destroy them, nor did he drive them out of his sight.

24 ​​Hazael king of Aram died, and Benhadad his son reigned in his place.

 25 And Joash the son of Jehoahaz took again from the hand of Ben-hadad the cities, which he had taken from the hand of Jehoahaz his father in war: and Joash smote him three times, and recovered the cities of Israel.
