8 और मूसा ने कोरह से कहा, लेवी की सन्तान सुन;

9 क्या यह तुम्हारे लिए एक छोटी सी बात है कि इस्राएल के परमेश्वर ने तुम्हें इस्राएल के मण्डली से अलग किया है ताकि वह यहोवा के तम्बू की सेवा करने और मंडली के साम्हने खड़े हो सके,

1 And Korah the son of Giza the son of Kohath the son of Levi took with him Dathan and Abiram the sons of Eliab and Om the son of Peleth, the sons of Reuben.

2 And they rose up before Moses with two hundred and fifty men of the children of Israel, chief of the congregation, called to the gathering, men named.

3 And they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron, and said unto them, It is too many now, for all the congregation is holy, and they are all holy: and the LORD is among them: wherefore lift ye up upon the congregation of the LORD?

4 As Moses heard this, it fell upon his face,

5 And he spoke to Korah and to all his congregation, saying, "In the morning the LORD will make known to you who is his, and whom the holy one he will bring to himself: Whom he chooses will bring him to himself.

6 Do this: take ye censers, Korah and all his congregation;

7 And set fire to them tomorrow, and lay incense upon them before the LORD: and it shall come to pass, the children of Levi, that the man whom the LORD hath chosen shall be holy.

8 And Moses said to Korah, Hear now the sons of Levi:

9 Is it a small thing to you that the God of Israel separated you from the congregation of Israel to bring you near to do the ministry of the tabernacle of the Lord and to stand before the congregation to minister to him,

10 And he brought thee in, and all thy brethren the children of Levi, with thee; Are you still seeking the priesthood?

11 Therefore you and all your congregation are gathered together against the Lord; and Aaron, which is he, murmur against him?

12 And Moses sent and called for Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab: but they said, We shall not go up;

13 Have you brought us up out of a land flowing with milk and honey, to kill us in the wilderness, but are you also in full possession of us?

14 Thou hast not brought us into a land flowing with milk and honey, nor given us fields and vineyards for inheritance; will you draw out the eyes of these men? We will not go up.

15 And Moses was very angry, and said unto the LORD, Take no thought for his offering; I have not taken one donkey from them, nor have I afflicted any of them.

16 And Moses said unto Korah, Thou and all thy congregation stand before Jehovah, thou, and they, and Aaron, to morrow.

17 And take every man his censer, and put incense thereon; and bring every man his censer before Jehovah, two hundred and fifty censers; thou and Aaron, every man his censer.

18 And they took every man his censer, and set fire thereon, and put incense thereon, and stood before the door of the tabernacle of the congregation with Moses and Aaron.

19 And Korah gathered all the congregation against them unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation; Then the glory of the Lord appeared to all the congregation.

20 And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,

21 Depart from the midst of this congregation, and I will consume them as in a moment.

22 But they fell upon their faces, and said, O God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, shall one man sin, and be angry with all this congregation?

23 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

24 Speak to all the congregation, saying, "Rise up around the dwellings of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram.

25 And Moses arose, and went to Dathan and Abiram: and after him the elders of Israel.

26 And he spake unto the congregation, saying, Depart ye, I pray you, from the tents of these wicked men, and touch nothing of theirs, lest ye perish in all their sins.

27 And they arose from round about the habitation of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram. And Dathan and Abiram went forth, and stood at the door of their tents, and their wives, and their children, and their children.

28 And Moses said, By this shall ye know that the LORD hath sent me to do all these deeds, which do not of my heart.

29 If they die as all men die, and if they are visited as all men visit, then the Lord has not sent me.

30 But if the LORD shall create a new thing, and the earth open his mouth, and swallow them up with all that is his, and let them come down alive into the sepulcher, then shall ye know that these men have provoked the LORD.

31 And it came to pass, when he had made an end of speaking all these words, that the land that was under them was rent.

32 And the earth opened their mouth, and swallowed them up with their houses, and all the men that were of Korah, and all their substance.

33 And they and all that were of them went down alive into the sepulcher, and the earth covered them, and perished from the midst of the congregation.

34 And all Israel that were round about them fled from their cry; because they said, Lest the land also swallow us up.

35 And the fire of the Lord went forth, and consumed the two hundred and fifty men that offered incense.

36 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

37 Say to Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest, that he take the censers from the midst of the fire, and scatter the fire far off, for they are holy;

38 As for the censers of them that have sinned against their souls, let them be made of them, and let them be spread out for the covering of the altar; because they brought them before the LORD;therefore they shall be holy unto the children of Israel.

39 And Eleazar the priest took the censers of brass, which brought those that were burned, and spread them for the covering of the altar,

40 For a memorial for the children of Israel, that there should no stranger that is not of the seed of Aaron come near to burn incense before the LORD; lest he be like Korah and his congregation as the Lord had spoken to him by the mouth of Moses.

41 And on the morrow all the congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron, saying, Ye have killed the people of the Lord.

42 And it came to pass, when the congregation was gathered together against Moses and against Aaron, and turning to the tabernacle of the congregation, behold, the cloud overshadowed it, and the glory of the Lord appeared.

43 And Moses and Aaron came before the tabernacle of the congregation.

44 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

45 Arise from the midst of this congregation, and I will consume it as in a moment: then they fell upon their faces,

46 And Moses said unto Aaron, Take thy censer, and put fire therein from the altar, and put incense upon it, and go quickly unto the congregation, and make atonement for them: for great wrath is gone out from before the LORD; The plague has begun.

47 And Aaron took it, as Moses had spoken, and ran in the midst of the congregation; and behold, the plague had begun among the people; and put incense thereon, and made atonement for the people.

48 And he stood between the dead and the living; and the plague ceased.

49 And those who died of the plague were fourteen thousand and seven hundred, except those who died because of Korah.

50 And Aaron returned unto Moses at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and the plague ceased.

6 Fazei isto: tomai vós incensários, Corá e toda a sua congregação;
7 E, pondo fogo neles amanhã, sobre eles deitai incenso perante o Senhor: e será que o homem a quem o Senhor escolher, este será o santo: baste-vos, filhos de Levi.
8 Disse mais Moisés a Corá: Ouvi agora, filhos de Levi:
9 Porventura pouco para vós é que o Deus de Israel vos separou da congregação de Israel, para vos fazer chegar a si, a administrar o ministério do tabernáculo do Senhor e estar perante a congregação para ministrar-lhe:
10 E te fez chegar, e todos os teus irmãos, os filhos de Levi, contigo; ainda também procurais o sacerdócio?
11 Pelo que tu e toda a tua congregação congregados estais contra o Senhor; e Arão que é ele, que murmurais contra ele?
12 E Moisés enviou a chamar a Datã e a Abirão, filhos de Eliabe: porém eles disseram: Não subiremos;
13 Porventura pouco é que nos fizeste subir de uma terra que mana leite e mel, para nos matares neste deserto, senão que também totalmente te assenhoreias de nós?
14 Nem tampouco nos trouxeste a uma terra que mana leite e mel, nem nos deste campos e vinhas em herança; porventura arrancarás os olhos a estes homens? Não subiremos.
15 Então Moisés irou-se muito, e disse ao Senhor: Não atentes para a sua oferta; nem um só jumento tomei deles, nem a nenhum deles fiz mal.
16 Disse mais Moisés a Corá: Tu e toda a tua congregação ponde-vos perante o Senhor, tu, e eles, e Arão, amanhã.
17 E tomai cada um o seu incensário, e neles ponde incenso; e trazei cada um o seu incensário perante o Senhor, duzentos e cinqüenta incensários; também tu e Arão, cada qual o seu incensário.
18 Tomaram pois cada qual o seu incensário, e neles puseram fogo, e neles deitaram incenso, e se puseram perante a porta da tenda da congregação com Moisés e Arão.
19 E Corá fez ajuntar contra eles toda a congregação à porta da tenda da congregação; então a glória do Senhor apareceu a toda congregação.
20 E falou o Senhor a Moisés e a Arão, dizendo:
21 Apartai-vos do meio desta congregação, e os consumirei como num momento.
22 Mas eles se prostaram sobre os seus rostos, e disseram: Ó Deus, Deus dos espíritos de toda a carne, pecará um só homem, e indignar-te-ás tu tanto contra toda esta congregação?
23 E falou o Senhor a Moisés, dizendo:
24 Fala a toda esta congregação, dizendo: Levanta-vos do redor da habitação de Corá, Datã e Abirão.
25 Então Moisés levantou-se, e foi a Datã e a Abirão: e após ele foram os anciãos de Israel.
26 E falou à congregação, dizendo: Desviai-vos, peço-vos, das tendas destes ímpios homens, e não toqueis nada do que é seu, para que porventura não perecais em todos os seus pecados.
27 Levantaram-se pois do redor da habitação de Corá, Datã e Abirão. E Datã e Abirão saíram, e se puseram à porta das suas tendas, juntamente com as suas mulheres, e seus filhos, e suas crianças.
28 Então disse Moisés: Nisto conhecereis que o Senhor me enviou a fazer todos estes feitos, que de meu coração não procedem.
29 Se estes morrerem como morrem todos os homens, e se forem visitados como se visitam todos os homens, então o Senhor não me enviou.
30 Mas, se o Senhor criar alguma coisa nova, e a terra abrir a sua boca e os tragar com tudo o que é seu, e vivos descerem ao sepulcro, então conhecereis que estes homens irritaram ao Senhor.
31 E aconteceu que, acabando ele de falar todas estas palavras, a terra que estava debaixo deles se fendeu.
32 E a terra abriu a sua boca, e os tragou com as suas casas, como também a todos os homens que pertenciam a Corá, e a toda a sua fazenda.
33 E eles e tudo o que era seu desceram vivos ao sepulcro, e a terra os cobriu, e pereceram do meio da congregação.
34 E todo o Israel, que estava ao redor deles, fugiu do clamor deles; porque diziam: Para que porventura também nos não trague a terra a nós.
35 Então saiu fogo do Senhor, e consumiu os duzentos e cinqüenta homens que ofereciam o incenso.
36 E falou o Senhor a Moisés, dizendo:
37 Dize a Eleazar, filho de Arão, o sacerdote, que tome os incensários do meio do incêndio, e espalhe o fogo longe, porque santos são;
38 Quanto aos incensários daqueles que pecaram contra as suas almas, deles se façam folhas estendidas para cobertura do altar; porquanto os trouxeram perante o Senhor; pelo que santos são: e serão por sinal aos filhos de Israel.
39 E Eleazar, o sacerdote, tomou os incensários de metal, que trouxeram aqueles que foram queimados, e os estenderam para cobertura do altar,
40 Por memorial para os filhos de Israel, para que nenhum estranho, que não for da semente de Arão, se chegue para acender incenso perante o Senhor; para que não seja como Corá e a sua congregação como o Senhor lhe tinha dito pela boca de Moisés.
41 Mas no dia seguinte toda a congregação dos filhos de Israel murmurou contra Moisés e contra Arão, dizendo: Vós matastes o povo do Senhor.
42 E aconteceu que ajuntando-se a congregação contra Moisés e Arão, e virando-se para a tenda da congregação, eis que a nuvem a cobriu, e a glória do Senhor apareceu.
43 Vieram pois Moisés e Arão perante a tenda da congregação.
44 Então falou o Senhor a Moisés, dizendo:
45 Levantai-vos do meio desta congregação, e a consumirei como num momento: então se prostaram sobre os seus rostos,
46 E disse Moisés a Arão: Toma o teu incensário, e póe nele fogo do altar, e deita incenso sobre ele, e vai depressa à congregação, e faze expiação por eles: porque grande indignação saiu de diante do Senhor; já começou a praga.
47 E tomou-o Arão, como Moisés tinha falado, e correu ao meio da congregação; e eis que já a praga havia começado entre o povo; e deitou incenso nele, e fez expiação pelo povo.
48 E estava em pé entre os mortos e os vivos; e cessou a praga.
49 E os que morreram daquela praga foram catorze mil e setecentos, fora os que morreram por causa de Corá.
50 E voltou Arão a Moisés à porta da tenda da congregação: e cessou a praga.

38 Speak to the children of Israel, and tell them to make fringes on the edges of their garments, throughout their generations; and on the fringes of the borders they shall lay a blue cord.
39 And it shall be in the fringes, that ye may see it, and remember all the commandments of the Lord, and do them: and ye shall not follow after your heart, nor after your eyes, after which ye commit adultery.
40 That ye may remember all my commandments, and do them: and ye shall be holy unto your God.

1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land of your habitations, which I will give you;
3 And make an offering made by fire to the LORD, a burnt offering, or a sacrifice, to keep a vow, or a voluntary offering, or your solemn feasts, to the LORD to make a sweet savor of sheep or cows;
4 And he that offereth his offering to the LORD shall offer a tenth of fine flour mixed with a fourth part of a hin of oil for a meat offering.
5 And thou shalt prepare the fourth part of a hin of wine for a drink offering, for a burnt offering, or for a sacrifice for every lamb:
6 And for a ram you shall prepare a meat offering of two tenths of fine flour mixed with a third part of a hin of oil.
7 And thou shalt offer the third part of a hin of wine to the LORD for a sweet savor.
8 And when thou shalt prepare a bullock for a burnt-offering or for a sacrifice, to fulfill a vow, or a peace-offer unto the LORD,
9 With the bullock you shall offer an offering of three tenth parts of fine flour mixed with half a hin of olive oil.
10 And thou shalt offer a half of a hin of wine for the drink offering, an offering made by fire unto the LORD.
11 So shall it be done to every bullock, or to every ram, or to the cattle of the lambs or goats.
12 According to the number which ye shall offer, so shall ye do unto every man according to their number.
13 And he shall do these things iniquity, offering an offering made by fire unto the LORD.
14 And if a stranger sojourn with you, or is among you in your generations, and he offereth a burnt offering of a sweet savor unto the LORD, as ye do, so shall he do.
15 A same statute shall be for you, O congregation, and for the stranger that sojourneth among you, a statute for ever throughout your generations; like you, so shall the sojourner be before the Lord.
16 The same law and the same law shall be for you and for the stranger who sojourns with you.
17 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
18 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land whither I will bring you in,
19 And it shall come to pass, when ye eat of the bread of the land, then ye shall offer an heave offering unto the LORD.
20 Of the first of your dough ye shall offer a cake for an heave offering: as the meal offering, so ye shall offer.
21 From the first fruits of your generations ye shall give unto Jehovah an heave offering in your generations.
22 And when ye shall err and not do all these commandments, which the LORD spake unto Moses,
23 All that Jehovah hath commanded you by the hand of Moses, from the day which the LORD hath commanded, and from thence on in your generations;
24 And it shall come to pass, when any thing is done in error, and it is hid from the eyes of the congregation, that the whole congregation shall offer a young bullock for a burnt offering, a sweet savor unto the LORD; with his meat offering and his drink offering according to the statute, and one male goat for a sin offering.
25 And the priest shall make atonement for all the congregation of the children of Israel, and it shall be forgiven them; for it was an error, and they brought their offering, an offering made by fire unto the LORD, and their sin offering before the LORD, because of their error.
26 And it shall be forgiven all the congregation of the children of Israel, and the stranger that sojourneth among them: for in all the people came the wrong.
27 And if any soul sin in error, he shall offer a she-goat a year old for a sin offering.
28 And the priest shall make atonement for the sinful soul, when he sinneth in error before Jehovah, and makes atonement for it, and it shall be forgiven him.
29 To the man of the children of Israel, and to the stranger that sojourneth among them, the same law shall be to you, that he may do this in error.
30 But the soul that doeth any thing by the hand raised, whether of the natural or of the stranger, reproacheth the Lord: and such a soul shall be cut off from the midst of his people,
31 For he hath despised the word of Jehovah, and hath made void of his commandment: the soul shall be utterly cut off, and her iniquity shall be upon her.
32 And when the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man gathering wood on the sabbath day.
33 And those who found gathering wood brought him to Moses and to Aaron, and to all the congregation.
34 And they put him on his guard; for it was not yet declared what should be done to him.
35 And the LORD said unto Moses, Surely such a man shall die; all the congregation with stones shall stone him out of the camp.
36 And all the congregation brought him forth out of the camp, and with stones they stoned him, and he died, even as the LORD commanded Moses.

1 Depois falou o Senhor a Moisés, dizendo:
2 Fala aos filhos de Israel e dize-lhes: Quando entrardes na terra das vossas habitações, que eu vos hei de dar;
3 E ao Senhor fizerdes oferta queimada, holocausto, ou sacrifício, para lhe cumprir um voto, ou em oferta voluntária, ou nas vossas solenidades, para ao Senhor fazer um cheiro suave de ovelhas ou vacas;
4 Então aquele que oferecer a sua oferta ao Senhor, por oferta de manjares oferecerá uma décima de flor de farinha misturada com a quarta parte de um him de azeite.
5 E de vinho para libação preparareis a quarta parte de um him, para holocausto ou para sacrifício por cada cordeiro:
6 E por cada carneiro prepararás uma oferta de manjares de duas décimas de flor de farinha misturada com a terça parte de um him de azeite.
7 E de vinho para a libação oferecerás a terça parte de um him ao Senhor, em cheiro suave.
8 E, quando preparares novilho para holocausto ou sacrifício, para cumprir um voto, ou um sacrifício pacífico ao Senhor,
9 Com o novilho oferecerás uma oferta de manjares de três décimas de flor de farinha, misturada com a metade de um him de azeite.
10 E de vinho para a libação oferecerás a metade de um him, oferta queimada em cheiro suave ao Senhor.
11 Assim se fará com cada boi, ou com cada carneiro, ou com o gado miúdo dos cordeiros ou das cabras.
12 Segundo o número que oferecerdes, assim o fareis com cada um, segundo o número deles.
13 Todo o natural assim fará estas coisas, oferecendo oferta queimada em cheiro suave ao Senhor.
14 Quando também peregrinar convosco algum estrangeiro, ou que estiver no meio de vós nas vossas gerações, e ele oferecer uma oferta queimada de cheiro suave ao Senhor, como vós fizerdes assim fará ele.
15 Um mesmo estatuto haja para vós, ó congregação, e para o estrangeiro que entre vós peregrina, por estatuto perpétuo nas vossas gerações; como vós, assim será o peregrino perante o Senhor.
16 Uma mesma lei e um mesmo direito haverá para vós e para o estrangeiro que peregrina convosco.
17 Falou mais o Senhor a Moisés, dizendo:
18 Fala aos filhos de Israel, e dize-lhes: Quando entrardes na terra em que vos hei de meter,
19 Acontecerá que, quando comerdes do pão da terra, então oferecereis ao Senhor oferta alçada.
20 Das primícias da vossa massa oferecereis um bolo em oferta alçada: como a oferta da eira, assim oferecereis.
21 Das primícias das vossas massas dareis ao Senhor oferta alçada nas vossas gerações.
22 E, quando vierdes a errar, e não fizerdes todos estes mandamentos, que o Senhor falou a Moisés,
23 Tudo que o Senhor vos tem mandado por mão de Moisés, desde o dia que o Senhor ordenou, e dali em diante, nas vossas gerações;
24 Será que, quando se fizer alguma coisa por erro, e for encoberto aos olhos da congregação, toda a congregação oferecerá um novilho para holocausto em cheiro suave ao Senhor; com a sua oferta de manjares e libação conforme ao estatuto, e um bode para expiação do pecado.
25 E o sacerdote fará propiciação por toda a congregação dos filhos de Israel, e lhes será perdoado; porquanto foi erro e trouxeram a sua oferta, oferta queimada ao Senhor, e a sua expiação do pecado perante o Senhor, por causa do seu erro.
26 Será pois perdoado a toda a congregação dos filhos de Israel, e mais ao estrangeiro que peregrina no meio deles, porquanto por erro sobreveio a todo o povo.
27 E, se alguma alma pecar por erro, para expiação do pecado oferecerá uma cabra de um ano.
28 E o sacerdote fará expiação pela alma pecante, quando pecar por erro, perante o Senhor, fazendo expiação por ela, e lhe será perdoado.
29 Para o natural dos filhos de Israel, e para o estrangeiro que no meio deles peregrina, uma mesma lei vos será, para quele que isso fizer por erro.
30 Mas a alma que fizer alguma coisa à mão levantada, quer seja dos naturais quer dos estrangeiros, injúria ao Senhor: e tal alma será extirpada do meio do seu povo,
31 Pois desprezou a palavra do Senhor, e anulou o seu mandamento: totalmente será extirpada aquela alma, a sua iniqüidade será sobre ela.
32 Estando pois os filhos de Israel no deserto, acharam um homem apanhando lenha no dia de sábado.
33 E os que acharam apanhando lenha o trouxeram a Moisés e a Arão, e a toda congregação.
34 E o puseram em guarda; porquanto ainda não estava declarado o que se lhe devia fazer.
35 Disse pois o Senhor a Moisés: Certamente morrerá o tal homem; toda a congregação com pedras o apedrejará para fora do arraial.
36 Então toda a congregação o tirou para fora do arraial, e com pedras o apedrejaram, e morreu, como o Senhor ordenara a Moisés.
