II Kings 24

 II Kings 24

1 In his days Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up, and Jehoiachin was his servant three years; then he turned and rebelled against him.

2 And God sent against him the Chaldean bands, the Syrian bands, the Moabite bands, and the Ammonite bands; and he sent them against Judah to destroy it, according to the word of the Lord, which he spoke by his servants the prophets.

3 And indeed, according to the word of the Lord, so it happened to Judah, that he removed it out of his sight, because of the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he had done.

4 And because of the innocent blood that he shed, filling Jerusalem with innocent blood; and therefore the Lord would not pardon.

5 Now the rest of the acts of Jehoiachin, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

6 And Jehoiachin slept with his fathers, and Jehoiachin his son reigned in his stead.

7 And the king of Egypt went no more out of his land: for the king of Babylon took all that belonged to the king of Egypt, from the river of Egypt unto the river Euphrates.
