II Kings 21
Amon is an evil king, and his servants kill him
Amon was twenty-two years old when he became king, and he reigned two years in Jerusalem. His mother's name was Meshulemeth, the daughter of Haruz of Jotbah.
And he did evil in the sight of the Lord, just as his father Manasseh had done.
For he walked in all the ways his father had walked, and served the idols his father had served, and bowed down to them.
So he forsook the Lord, the God of his fathers, and did not walk in the way of the Lord.
And the servants of Amon conspired against him, and slew the king in his own house.
But the people of the land struck down all who had conspired against King Amon, and the people of the land made Josiah his son king in his place.
Now the rest of the acts of Amon that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
And they buried him in his own sepulchre in the garden of Uzzah: and Josiah his son reigned in his stead.
