II Chronicles 9
The Queen of Sheba Comes to See Solomon
Now when the queen of Sheba heard of Solomon's fame, she came to Jerusalem to test Solomon with riddles, with a very great train of camels laden with spices and gold in abundance and precious stones. Then she came to Solomon and spoke to him of all that was in her heart.
And Solomon explained to her all his words; and there was nothing hidden that Solomon did not tell her.
Now when the queen of Sheba saw Solomon's wisdom and the house that he was about to build,
and the food on his table, the seating of his servants, the seating of his attendants, and their apparel, and his cupbearers, and their apparel, and the ascent by which he went up to the house of the Lord, she was as though beside herself.
Then she said to the king, "The report that I heard in my own land about your acts and your wisdom was true.
But I did not believe their words until I came and my eyes had seen it, and behold, half the greatness of your wisdom was not told me; you have surpassed the fame that I heard.
Blessed are your men, and blessed are these your servants, who stand continually before you and hear your wisdom!
Blessed be the Lord your God, who delighted in you to set you king on his throne, by the Lord your God, because your God loved Israel, to establish them forever, and made you king over them, to do justice and righteousness.
And he gave the king one hundred and twenty talents of gold, and spices in great abundance, and precious stones: there were no such spices as the queen of Sheba gave to king Solomon.
And the servants of Hiram, and the servants of Solomon, who had brought gold from Ophir, brought algum trees and precious stones.
The king made walkways of algum trees for the house of the Lord and for the king's house, and harps and psalteries for singers, such as had never been seen before in the land of Judah.
King Solomon gave the queen of Sheba whatever he wanted and whatever she asked for, in addition to what she had brought to the king. So she returned and went to her own land, she and her servants.
