II Chronicles 27
Jotham Reigns Well and Defeats the Ammonites
Jotham was twenty-five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem; and his mother's name was Jerusha, the daughter of Zadok.
And he did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, according to all that his father Uzziah had done, except that he did not enter the temple of the Lord. And the people still corrupted themselves.
He built the high gate of the house of the Lord, and also built many on the wall of Ophel.
He also built cities in the hill country of Judah, and built castles and towers in the woods.
He also made war against the king of the children of Ammon and prevailed over them, so that the children of Ammon gave him that year a hundred talents of silver, and ten thousand measures of wheat, and ten thousand measures of barley. The children of Ammon also brought him these in the second and third years.
So Jotham became strong, because he prepared his ways before the Lord his God.
Now the rest of the acts of Jotham, and all his wars, and his ways, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah.
He was twenty-five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem.
Then Jotham slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the City of David; and Ahaz his son reigned in his place.
