II Chronicles 19
The Prophet Jehu Rebukes Jehoshaphat
Now Jehoshaphat king of Judah returned home to Jerusalem in peace.
And Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him and said to King Jehoshaphat, “Should you help the wicked and love those who hate the Lord? Therefore great wrath will come upon you from the Lord.”
But good things have been found in you, because you have removed the groves from the land and prepared your heart to seek God.
So Jehoshaphat lived in Jerusalem and went through the people again from Beersheba to the hill country of Ephraim, and he turned them back to the Lord, the God of their fathers.
And he appointed judges in the land in every fortified city, city by city.
And he said to the judges, “Take heed what you do; For you do not judge for man, but for the Lord, and He is with you in the matter of judgment.
Now therefore let the fear of the Lord be with you: keep it, and do it; for there is no iniquity with the Lord God, nor is there any partiality, nor taking of gifts.
And Jehoshaphat also appointed some of the Levites and of the priests and of the heads of the fathers' houses of Israel over the judgment of the Lord, and over legal cases: and they returned to Jerusalem.
And he commanded them, saying, Thus shall you walk in the fear of the Lord, faithfully, and with a whole heart.
And in every difference that shall come to you from your brethren that dwell in their cities, between blood and blood, between law and commandment, between statutes and ordinances, warn them, that they may not incur guilt before the Lord, and that wrath may come upon you and your brethren: do so, and you shall not incur guilt.
And behold, Amariah the high priest shall be over you in all matters of the Lord; and Zebadiah the son of Ishmael, prince of the house of Judah, in all matters of the king; and the officers, the Levites, are before you: be strong therefore, and do it; and the Lord will be with the good.
