II Chronicles 07
The Fire and Glory of God Are the Signs of His Approval
When Solomon had finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices, and the glory of the Lord filled the house.
The priests could not enter the house of the Lord, because the glory of the Lord had filled the house of the Lord.
When all the Israelites saw the fire come down and the glory of the Lord upon the house, they bowed down with their faces to the ground on the pavement and worshiped and praised the Lord, for he is good, for his mercy endures forever.
The king and all the people offered sacrifices before the Lord.
King Solomon offered sacrifices of twenty-two thousand oxen and one hundred and twenty thousand sheep, and the king and all the people dedicated the house of God.
The priests stood by their courses, and the priests stood before the Lord. and the Levites with the musical instruments of the Lord, which King David had made, to praise the Lord, for his mercy endures forever, when David praised him by their ministry. And the priests blew the trumpets opposite them, and all Israel stood.
And Solomon consecrated the middle of the court that was before the house of the Lord, because there he had offered the burnt offerings and the fat of the peace offerings; for the brazen altar that Solomon had made could not contain the burnt offering, the grain offering, and the fat.
So Solomon kept the feast at that time seven days, and all Israel with him, a very great assembly, from the entrance of Hamath to the River of Egypt.
And on the eighth day they kept the day of restriction; for seven days they kept the dedication of the altar, and seven days the feast. 10 And on the twenty-third day of the seventh month he sent the people away to their tents, joyful and in good spirits, because of the goodness which the Lord had done to David, and to Solomon, and to his people Israel.
