Job 13

 Job 13

Behold, my eyes have seen all this, and my ears have heard and understood it.

As you know, so I know that I am not inferior to you.

But I will speak to the Almighty; and I will make my defense before God.

But you are inventors of lies, and all of you are worthless physicians.

Would that you would be completely silent, that would be your wisdom!

Hear now my defense, and listen to the arguments of my lips.

Will you speak wickedly for God, and speak lies for him?

Will you accept his person? Will you contend for God?

Would it be good for you if he searched you out? Or would you mock him as one mocks?

He will surely rebuke you if you show partiality in secret.

Will not his majesty terrify you? Will not his fear fall upon you?

Your memory is like ashes, your heights like clay.

Be silent before me, and I will speak, and let whatever comes upon me come upon me.
