Psalms 13
David, in his extreme sorrow, turns to God and trusts in Him
1 How long will you forget me, O Lord? Forever? How long will you hide your face from me?
2 How long must I take counsel with my soul, with sorrow in my heart all day long? How long will my enemy exalt himself over me?
3 Look upon me, and hear me, O Lord my God; lighten my eyes, lest I sleep in death;
4 Lest my enemy say, "I have prevailed against him," and my adversaries rejoice when I am shaken.
5 But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart will rejoice in your salvation.
6 I will sing to the Lord, for he has dealt bountifully with me.
