Psalm 25
David prays to God to save him from his enemies and to forgive his sins
To you, O Lord, I lift up my soul.
My God, in you I trust; do not let me be put to shame, nor let my enemies triumph over me.
Surely those who wait for you will not be put to shame; those who transgress without cause will be put to shame.
Make me know your ways, O Lord; teach me your paths.
Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; I wait for you all the day long.
Remember, O Lord, your compassion and your lovingkindness, for they are from everlasting.
Do not remember the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions; but according to your lovingkindness remember me, for your goodness' sake, O Lord.
Good and upright is the Lord; Therefore he will teach sinners in the way.
He will guide the meek in judgment, and teach the meek his way.
All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth to those who keep his covenant and his testimonies.
For your name's sake, O Lord, pardon my iniquity, for it is great.
Who is the man who fears the Lord? He will teach him in the way he should choose.
His soul will dwell in goodness, and his descendants will inherit the land.
The secret of the Lord is with those who fear him; and he will make known his covenant to them.
My eyes are ever toward the Lord, for he will pluck my feet out of the net.
Look upon me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted.
The troubles of my heart are great; deliver me out of my troubles. 18 Look on my affliction and my pain, and forgive all my sins.
Look on my enemies, for they are increasing and they hate me with cruel hatred.
Keep my soul and deliver me; do not let me be put to shame, for I trust in you.
May integrity and uprightness preserve me, for I hope in you.
Redeem Israel, O God, out of all their troubles.
