Psalms 26
David Turns to God, Trusting in His Own Integrity
Judge me, O Lord, for I have walked in my integrity; I have trusted also in the Lord; I will not be moved.
Examine me, O Lord, and try me: search my reins and my heart.
For your lovingkindness is before my eyes, and I have walked in your truth.
I have not sat with vain men, nor have I conversed with deceitful men.
I have hated the assembly of evildoers; I will not associate with the wicked.
I wash my hands in innocence; so I will walk around your altar, O Lord,
To proclaim with the voice of praise, and to tell of all your wondrous works.
O Lord, I have loved the habitation of your house, the place where your glory dwells.
Do not take my soul with sinners, nor my life with bloodthirsty men,
In whose hands is mischief, and whose right hand is full of bribes.
But I walk in my integrity; deliver me, and have mercy on me.
My foot stands on level ground; in the congregations I will praise the Lord.
