Descendants of Issachar

1 As for the sons of Issachar, they were: Tola, and Puah, Jasib, and Shimron, four.

2 And the sons of Tola were: Uzzi, and Rephaiah, and Jeriel, and Jahmai, and Ibsam, and Shemuel, heads of their fathers' houses, of Tola, mighty men of valor in their generations; their number in the days of David was twenty-two thousand and six hundred.

3 As for the sons of Uzzi, there was Izrahiah; and the sons of Izrahiah were Michael, and Obadiah, and Joel, and Ishsh; all these were five chiefs.

4 And with them were in their generations, by their fathers' houses, bands of men of war, thirty-six thousand; for they had many wives and sons.

5 And their brethren throughout all the families of Issachar, mighty men of valor, were eighty-seven thousand, all reckoned by their genealogies.
