Job 35 Good and evil cannot affect God, but sometimes, due to the lack of faith of the afflicted, He does not hear them.

 Job 35

Good and evil cannot affect God, but sometimes, due to the lack of faith of the afflicted, He does not hear them.

Elihu answered and said:

Do you have the right to say, 'My righteousness is greater than God's?'

Because you said, 'What good would it do you? What profit would I get more than my sin?'

I will give you an answer, to you and to your friends with you.

Look up to the heavens and see; and behold the heights of the clouds, which are higher than you.

If you sin, what will you do to him? If your transgressions are multiplied, what will you do to him?

If you are righteous, what will you give him, or what will he receive from your hand?

Your wickedness would harm one like you, but your righteousness would profit a son of man.

Because of the greatness of the oppression they cry out; they cry out because of the arm of the mighty.

But no one says, "Where is God who made me, who gives songs in the night?

Who makes us wiser than the beasts of the earth, and wiser than the birds of the air?"

They cry out, but he does not answer, because of the arrogance of the wicked.

Surely God will not hear vanity, nor will the Almighty regard it.

And as for what you said, "You will not see it," judgment is before him; therefore hope in him.

But now, because his anger is not yet exercised, nor does he greatly consider arrogance,

Therefore Job opens his mouth in vain, and multiplies words without knowledge.
