Job 13 Job Trusts in God and Wants to Know His Sins

 Job 13

Job Trusts in God and Wants to Know His Sins

Why should I take my flesh in my teeth, and put my life in my hand?

Though he slay me, I will trust in him; yet I will defend my ways before him.

This also will be my salvation, for the wicked will not come before him.

Hear carefully my words, and with your ears my demonstration.

Behold, I have ordered my cause, and I know that I will be found righteous.

Who is he that will contend with me? If I were to hold my peace now, I would give up my spirit.

Only two things do not you do to me, that I may not hide from your face:

Withdraw your hand far from me, and do not let your terror terrify me.

Call, and I will answer; or I will speak, and you answer me.

How many guilts and sins have I? Make me aware of my transgression and my sin.

Why do you hide your face, and count me as your enemy?

Will you break the blown-off leaf? Or chase away the dry stubble?

Why do you write bitter things against me, and make me inherit the guilt of my youth?

You put my feet in stocks, and watch all my ways, and mark the prints of my feet,

Though I am like a rotten thing that consumes away, and like a garment that is moth-eaten.
