Psalms 76
The Majesty and Power of God
1 God is known in Judah;
His name is great in Israel.
2 His tent is in Salem, and His dwelling place in Zion.
3 There He has broken the arrows of the bow, the shield, the sword, and the battle.
4 You are more glorious and glorious than the mountains of prey.
5 The stouthearted are spoiled; they have slept their sleep, and none of the mighty men have found their hands.
6 At your rebuke, O God of Jacob, chariots and horses are cast into a deep sleep.
7 You, even you, are awesome; and who can stand in your sight when you are angry?
8 From heaven you have made your judgment heard; the earth trembled and was still,
9 When God arose to judge, to save all the meek of the earth.
10 For the wrath of man shall be to your praise, and the remainder of wrath you shall restrain.
11 Make vows and pay to the Lord your God; let those who are around him bring gifts to him who is awesome.
12 He will cut off the spirit of princes; he is awesome to the kings of the earth.
