God is praised for his wonderful works' sake

1 Praise the Lord. I will praise the Lord with all my heart in the assembly of the righteous and in the congregation.

2 Great are the works of the Lord, sought out by all who delight in them.

3 Glory and majesty are in his work, and his righteousness endures forever.

4 He has made his wonders remembered; the Lord is gracious and merciful.

5 He has given food to those who fear him; he will remember his covenant forever.

6 He has shown his people the power of his works, giving them the inheritance of the nations.

7 The works of his hands are truth and justice; all his commandments are sure.

8 They stand firm forever and ever; they are done in truth and uprightness.

9 He sent redemption to his people; he has commanded his covenant forever; holy and awesome is his name.

10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; good understanding is in all who obey him; his praise endures forever.
