Psalms 108 David praises God for the victory He has given him

 Psalms 108

David praises God for the victory He has given him

My heart is fixed, O God; I will sing and make melody with all my soul.

Awake, psaltery and harp; I will awake at the break of dawn.

I will give thanks to you, O Lord, among the peoples; I will sing praises to you among the nations.

For your lovingkindness is high above the heavens, and your truth reaches beyond the clouds.

Be exalted above the heavens, O God, and your glory above all the earth,

That your beloved may be delivered: save us with your right hand, and answer us.

God has spoken in his sanctuary: I will rejoice; I will divide Shechem, and I will measure out the valley of Succoth.

Gilead is mine, Manasseh is mine; Ephraim is the strength of my head, Judah my lawgiver.

Moab is my washpot; over Edom I will cast out my shoe, over Palestine I will shout for joy.

Who will bring me to the strong city? Who will guide me to Edom?

Is it not you, O God, who have rejected us? And will you not go out, O God, with our armies?

Give us help from trouble, for help from man is vain.

Through God we will do valiantly, for he will trample our enemies underfoot.
