Psalms 66
A Song of Praise to God for His Great Works
Praise God with a shout of joy, all the earth.
Sing to the glory of his name; give glory to his praise.
Say to God, "How awesome are you in your works! Because of the greatness of your power, your enemies will submit to you.
All the earth will worship you and sing praise to you; they will sing to your name.
Come and see the works of God; he is awesome in his deeds toward the children of men.
He turned the sea into dry land; they passed through the river on foot; there we rejoiced in him.
He rules forever by his power; his eyes are on the nations; let not the rebellious be exalted.
Bless our God, O peoples, and make the voice of his praise heard.
He who upholds our souls with life, and will not let our feet slip.
For you, O God, have tested us; you have refined us as silver is refined.
You have brought us into a net; you have afflicted our loins.
You have caused men to ride over our heads; we have gone through fire and through water; but you have brought us out into a place of plenty.
I will come into your house with burnt offerings; I will pay you my vows,
Which my lips have uttered, and my mouth has spoken when I was in distress.
I will offer you burnt offerings of fat animals, with the sweet smoke of rams; I will offer bulls with goats.
Come and hear, all you who fear God, and I will declare what he has done for my soul.
I cried to him with my mouth, and he was exalted with my tongue.
If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me;
But God has surely heard me; he has attended to the voice of my prayer.
Blessed be God, who has not rejected my prayer or withheld his mercy from me.
