 The Book of the Prophet Isaiah 10

1 Woe to those who decree unjust laws, and to the scribes who write perverse things,

2 To wrong the poor in judgment, and to take away the justice of the afflicted of my people, to prey on widows and to rob the fatherless!

3 But what will you do in the day of visitation and desolation, which will come from afar? To whom will you run for help, and where will you leave your glory,

4 So that each of you will not bow down among the prisoners, or fall among the slain? For all this his anger has not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
