Deuteronomy 26
Prayer of the One Who Tithed
When you have finished tithing all your new tithes in the third year, which is the year of tithes, then you shall give them to the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, that they may eat in your gates, and be satisfied.
And thou shalt say unto the LORD thy God, I have taken away that which is consecrated from my house, and have given to the Levite, and to the stranger, and to the fatherless, and to the widow, according to all thy commandments which thou hast commanded me: I have not forgotten them either.
I have not eaten of this in my sorrow, nor have I taken anything of this into filthiness, nor given it to any dead; I obeyed the voice of the Lord my God; according to all that thou hast commanded me, I have done.
Look from thy holy habitation from heaven, and bless thy people Israel and the land which thou hast given us, as thou hast sworn unto our fathers, a land flowing with milk and honey.
On this day the LORD your God commandeth you to do these statutes and judgments: keep them and do them with all your heart and with all your soul.
Today you have declared to the Lord that it will be to you by God, and that you will walk in His ways, and keep His statutes, and His commandments, and His judgments, and hearken unto His voice.
And the Lord hath commanded thee this day that thou shalt be his own people, as he hath said unto thee, and that thou shalt keep all his commandments.
To exalt thee above all the nations which he hath done, to praise and to fame and to glory, and to be a holy people unto the LORD thy God, as he hath said.
