The lashing feather
1 When there is strife among some, and they come to judgment, that they may judge them, they shall justify the righteous, and the unrighteous shall condemn.
2 And it shall come to pass, that if the unrighteous deserveth beatings, the judge shall cause him to lie down, and to cause him to flog before him, when his iniquity shall suffice for some account.
3 Forty stripes will cause them to give, no more; lest he be stricken more than these, thy brother shall not be defiled in thy sight.
4 Thou shalt not bind the mouth of the ox when he treadeth.
