Deuteronomy 22 The penalties of various sins committed against women

Deuteronomy 22
The penalties of various sins committed against women
When a man take a wife, and come to her in trouble,
And to impute to him scandalous things, and to spread evil against her, saying, I have taken this woman, and I have come unto her, but I have not found her a virgin;
Then the girl's father and her mother shall take the signs of the girl's virginity, and shall bring them out to the elders of the city at the door.
And the girl's father shall say unto the elders, I have given my daughter unto this man to wife, but he hates her;
And, behold, he imputed to him scandalous things, saying, I have not found thy daughter a virgin; but here are the signs of my daughter's virginity. And they shall spread the sheet before the elders of the city.
Then shall the elders of the same city take that man, and punish him,
And they shall condemn him in a hundred shekels of silver, and shall give them unto the girl's father; because he spread a bad name about a virgin of Israel. He shall be his wife, and in all his days shall he not be able to dismiss her.
But if this thing is true, that virginity is not found in the girl,
Then shall they bring her to the door of her father's house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones, till she die; For he has done foolishness in Israel by committing fornication in his father's house: thus shalt thou bring evil from among you.
When a man is found lying with a wife married to a husband, then both of them shall die, the man who lay with the wife, and the wife: thus shalt thou bring away evil from Israel.
When a virgin girl is married to a man, and a man to find in the city, and to lie with her,
Then shall ye bring both to the gate of that city, and stone them with stones, till they die; because she did not cry in the city, and the man, because he humbled his neighbor's wife: thus shalt thou remove evil from among you.
And if any man in the field find a young girl espoused, and the man press her, and lie with her, then only the man that lie with her shall die;
But the girl shall do nothing: the girl is not guilty of death; For as a man that riseeth up against his neighbor, and taketh away his life, so is this thing.
For he found her in the field, and the bridegroom cried, and there was none to deliver her.
When a man shall find a virgin girl, that is not espoused, and take her, and lie with her, and be taken,
Then the man that lay with her shall give to the girl's father fifty shekels of silver: and because he humbled her, he shall be his wife: he shall not be able to dismiss her in all his days.
No man shall take his father's wife, neither shall he uncover his father's brim.
