Deuteronomy 26 The firstfruits of the earth

Deuteronomy 26
The firstfruits of the earth
1 And it shall come to pass, when ye come into the land, that the LORD thy God shall give thee an inheritance, and possess it, and dwell therein.
2 Then shalt thou take of the firstfruits of all the fruits of the earth which ye shall bring out of thy land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee, and put them in a basket, and go to the place which the LORD thy God shall choose, to make his name to dwell there. .
3 And thou shalt say unto the priest that it shall be in those days, and say unto him, This day do I declare before the LORD thy God that I am come into the land which the LORD has sworn unto our fathers to give us.
4 And the priest shall take the basket out of thy hand, and set it before the altar of the LORD thy God.
5 Then shalt thou protest before the LORD thy God, and say, Syria was my father wretched, and came down into Egypt, and sojourned there with few people: but he grew up there to be a great, powerful, and large nation.
6 But the Egyptians mistreated and afflicted us, and put a severe bondage upon us.
7 Then we call the Lord God of our fathers; and the Lord heard our voice, and heeded our misery, and our work, and our oppression,
8 And the Lord brought us out of Egypt with a strong hand, and with outstretched arm, and with great astonishment, and with signs, and with miracles;
9 And he brought us into this place, and gave us this land, a land flowing with milk and honey.
10 And behold, now I have brought the firstfruits of the earth, which thou hast given me, O LORD. Then thou shalt set before the Lord thy God, and bow before the Lord thy God.
11 And you shall rejoice in all the good that the LORD your God has given you and your house, you and the Levite, and the stranger in your midst.
