Joshua is appointed to Moses' successor
18 And the LORD said unto Moses, Take thee to Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the spirit, and lay thine hand upon him.
19 And present him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation, and give him commandments in their eyes,
20 And lay it upon him of thy glory, that he may obey all the congregation of the children of Israel.
21 And he shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall inquire of him before the Lord according to the judgment of Urim: according to his word shall they go forth, and shall enter in with him, and he shall go in with him, and all the children of Israel with him; the whole congregation.
22 And Moses did as the LORD commanded him: for he took Joshua, and presented him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation:
23 And he laid his hands on him, and commanded him, as the LORD commanded by the hand of Moses.
