Tithes for the Lord's Service
22 Surely thou shalt give tithes of all the newness of thy seed, which is gathered from the field every year.
23 And before the LORD your God, in the place which he shall choose to make his name dwell there, ye shall eat the tithes of thy grain, and of thy wine, and of the firstborn of thy kine, and of thy sheep: that thou mayest learn. to fear the Lord your God every day.
24 And when the way is so long that thou canst not bring them, because the place which the Lord thy God shall choose to put his name there, when the Lord thy God hath blessed thee,
25 Then sell them, and bind the money in thy hand, and go unto the place which the LORD thy God shall choose.
26 And that money thou shalt give for all that thy soul desires, for cows, and sheep, and for wine, and for strong drink, and for all that thy soul shall ask thee: eat it there before the LORD thy God. and rejoice, you and your house;
27 But you shall not forsake the Levite that is within your gates; for it has no part or inheritance with you.
28 After three years you shall take away all the tithes of your new year in the same year, and gather it in your gates.
29 Then the Levite shall come (for he hath no part or inheritance with thee), and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, which are within thy gates, and shall eat, and be filled; bless you in all the work of your hands that you do.
