The end of the law is obedience
These are the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments, which the LORD your God commanded to teach you, that ye should do it in the land where ye shall possess;
That ye may fear the LORD thy God, and keep all his statutes and commandments, which I command thee, thou and thy son, and the son of thy son, all the days of thy life, and that thy days may be prolonged.
Hear therefore, O Israel, and see that thou keepest them, that it may be well unto thee, and multiply thee, as the LORD God of thy fathers said unto thee, in a land flowing with milk and honey.
Hear, Israel, the Lord our God is the only Lord.
And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
And these words which I command you this day shall be in your heart;
And thou shalt call them to thy sons, and shalt speak of them sitting in thy house, and walking by the way, and lying down, and rising up.
And thou shalt bind them for a sign in thy hand, and they shall be for thee for foreheads between thy eyes.
And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and upon thy gates.
When the LORD thy God brought thee into the land which he swore unto thy fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, I would give thee great and good cities, which thou hast not built.
And a house full of all good things, which thou hast not filled, and wells dug, which thou hast not digged, came from olive groves, which thou didst not sow, and did eat, and be satisfied.
Take heed that you do not forget the LORD, who brought you out of the land of Egypt from the house of bondage.
Thou shalt fear the LORD thy God, and serve him, and shalt swear by his name.
You shall not follow other gods, the gods of the peoples round about you.
For the LORD your God is a jealous God among you, that the anger of the LORD your God may not be kindled against you, and destroy you from off the face of the earth.
Ye shall not tempt the LORD your God, as ye tempted in Massah.
Ye shall diligently keep the commandments of the LORD your God; as also his testimonies, and his statutes, which he commanded you.
And thou shalt do that which is right and good in the sight of the LORD: that it may be well with thee, and come in, and possess the good land, upon which the LORD sware unto thy fathers.
That I may cast out all thy enemies from before thee, as the LORD hath said.
When your son asks you about the time ahead, saying, What are the testimonies, and statutes, and judgments, which the LORD our God commanded you?
And thou shalt say unto thy son, We were Pharaoh's servants in Egypt: but the LORD brought us out with a strong hand from Egypt;
And the LORD did great signs and great wonders in Egypt upon Pharaoh and all his house in our sight;
And from thence he brought us forth, to carry us away, and to give us the land which he had sworn to our fathers.
And the Lord commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the Lord our God, for our everlasting good, to keep us alive, as at this day.
And it will be righteousness to us when we are careful to do all these commandments before the LORD our God, as he has commanded us.
