Deuteronomy 11
The Benefits of Obedience
And if you will diligently obey my commandments which I command you this day, to love the Lord your God and to serve with all your heart and with all your soul,
Then will I give the rain of your land in due time, the early and the latter, that ye may gather thy grain, and thy wine, and thy oil.
And I will give grass in thy field to thy cattle, and thou shalt eat, and be satisfied.
Take heed that your heart be not deceived, and turn aside, and serve other gods, and bow before them:
And the wrath of the LORD be kindled against you, and he shut the heavens, and there be no water, and the earth shall not give her newness, and ye shall soon perish from the good land which the Lord gives unto you.
Put these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign in your hand, that they may be for your foreheads among your eyes.
And teach them to your children, speaking of them sitting in your house, and walking by the way, and lying down, and rising up;
And write them on the posts of your house, and on your gates:
That your days and the days of your children may be multiplied in the land which the LORD has sworn to your fathers to give them, as the days of heaven upon the earth.
For if you diligently keep all these commandments which I command you to keep, loving the LORD your God, walking in all his ways, and drawing nigh unto him.
And the Lord will cast out all these nations from before you, and ye shall possess nations greater and mightier than you.
Every place that treads the sole of your feet shall be yours: from the wilderness, and from Lebanon, from the river, the river Euphrates, to the western sea, shall be your border.
No one shall stand before you: the Lord your God will set your fear and fear on all the earth, as he said to you.
