Deuteronomy 10
  From the vocation of the tribe of Levi
8 At the same time the Lord separated the tribe of Levi, to carry the ark of the covenant of the Lord, to stand before the Lord, to serve him, and to bless in his name unto this day.
9 Therefore Levi with his brethren have no part in the inheritance: the LORD is their inheritance, as the LORD thy God hath said unto them.
10 And I was in the mount, as in the first days, forty days and forty nights: and the LORD heard me yet for this time: the LORD would not destroy thee.
11 And the Lord said unto me, Arise, and stand before the people, that they may come in and possess the land which I swore unto their fathers to give unto them.
