Joseph announced to Pharaoh the arrival of his father
Then Joseph came and told Pharaoh, and said, My father and my brothers, and their flocks, and their herds, and all that have arrived from the land of Canaan, and behold, they are in the land of Goshen.
And he took some of his brethren, you know, five men, and set them before Pharaoh.
And Pharaoh said unto his brethren, What is your occupation? And they said unto Pharaoh, Thy servants are shepherds, both we and our fathers.
And they said to Pharaoh, We have come to sojourn in the land; because there is no pasture for the sheep of thy servants, for the famine is severe in the land of Canaan; Now therefore we beseech thee, thy servants dwell in the land of Goshen.
Pharaoh spoke to Joseph, saying, Thy father and thy brethren are come unto thee;
The land of Egypt is before thee, to the best of the land make live your father and your brothers; dwell in the land of Goshen; and if you know that among them there are brave men, put them for cattle chiefs over what I have.
And Joseph brought in Jacob his father, and set him before Pharaoh; and Jacob, his father blessed Pharaoh.
And Pharaoh said unto Jacob, How are your days of the years of life?
And Jacob said unto Pharaoh, The days of the years of my pilgrimage are a hundred and thirty; few and evil have been the days of the years of my life, and not reached the days of the years of the life of my fathers in the days of their pilgrimage.
And Jacob blessed Pharaoh, and went out in front of Pharaoh's face.
And Joseph placed his father and his brothers and gave them a possession in the land of Egypt, in the best of the land, the land of Rameses, as Pharaoh commanded.
And Joseph nourished bread to his father, and his brethren, and all his father's house, according to their families.
