The purification of women after childbirth
1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
2 Speak to the children of Israel, saying, If a woman conceive and has a man, she shall be unclean seven days, even as she shall be unclean in the days of her separation from her infirmity.
3 And on the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin shall be circumcised.
4 And she shall remain in the blood of her cleansing for thirty-three days; No holy thing shall touch, neither shall it come to the sanctuary until the days of its cleansing are fulfilled.
5 But if he has a female, he shall be unclean two weeks, as in his separation: after that he shall remain sixty and six days in the blood of his cleansing.
6 And when the days of his cleansing for a son or a daughter are fulfilled, he shall bring a lamb of the first year for a burnt offering, and a young pigeon, or a scroll, for a sin offering before the door of the tabernacle of the congregation unto the priest,
7 which he shall offer before the LORD, and shall make it an atonement for it; And it shall be cleansed from the flow of his blood: this is the law of him that bringeth forth man or woman.
8 But if his hand is not enough for the lamb, then he shall take two turtledoves or two young pigeons, one for the burnt offering and another for the sin offering: so the priest shall make it a propitiation for it, and it shall be clean.
