Genesis 21
Abimelech makes a covenant with Abraham
And it happened at that time that Abimelech and Phicol the captain of his army, spoke to Abraham, saying, God is with thee in all that thou doest:
Now therefore swear to me here by God that not deal falsely with me or my son, or my grandson; according to the kindness that made you, you shall do to me, and to the land where you have sojourned.
And Abraham said, I will swear.
Abraham but reprendeu Abimelech because of a well of water that Abimelech's servants had taken by force.
And Abimelech said, I do not know who did this; and also didst thou not know, nor have I heard of it until today.
And Abraham took sheep and oxen and gave them to Abimelech; and made both concert.
Abraham set but will seven ewe lambs of the flock.
And Abimelech said to Abraham, What are these seven ewe lambs which you have set apart?
And he said, You shall take these seven ewe lambs from my hand, to be a witness that I dug this well.
Therefore he called that place Beersheba, because they both swore there.
So did 32 concert in Beersheba. Then Abimelech rose up, and Phichol the captain of his army, and returned to the land of the Philistines.
And He planted a grove in Beersheba, and called there on the name of the Lord, eternal God.
And Abraham sojourned in the land of the Philistines many days.
