Genesis 31 The covenant between Laban and Jacob at Galeed

Genesis 31
The covenant between Laban and Jacob at Galeed
43 Then Laban answered and said unto Jacob, The daughters are mine, and these children are my children, and this flock is my flock, and everything you see, is mine; and now I will make these my daughters, or children who have had?
44 Now come, let us concert me and you, to be a witness between me and you.
45 Jacob took a stone and set it up for a pillar.
46 And Jacob said to his brethren, Gather stones. And they took stones and made a heap, and ate there upon the heap.
47 And Laban called it Jegar-Saaduta; but Jacob called it Galeed.
48 Laban said; This heap is now a witness between me and thee: so he called its name Galeed,
49 And Mizpah, for he said: Watch the Lord between me and thee when we are absent one from another:
50 If you afflict my daughters, or if you take wives besides my daughters, no one is with us; aware that God is witness between me and you.
51 And he said to Jacob, Behold this heap, and behold this pillar, which stood between me and thee.
52 This heap be witness, and this pillar be witness, that I will not pass this heap to thee, and that thou shalt not pass over this heap and this pillar unto me, for harm.
53 The God of Abraham, and the God of Nahor, the God of his father judge between us. And Jacob swore by the fear of his father Isaac.
54 And Jacob sacrificed a sacrifice in the mountain, and called his brethren to eat bread; and they ate pap, and spent the night on the mountain.
55 And Laban rose early in the morning, and kissed his sons, and his daughters, and blessed them, and departed; Laban and returned to his place.
Genesis 32
1 And Jacob was also his way, and found it the angels of God.
2 And Jacob said when he saw them: This is the army of God. And he called the name of that place Mahanaim.
