The way Jacob paid Laban
37 And Jacob took him rods of green poplar, and hazel and chestnut tree, and peeled white streaks in them, uncovering the whiteness that the sticks were,
38 And he set the rods which he had peeled in front of the flock in the gutters and the water sinks, where the flock came to drink, and conceived from drinking.
39 And the flocks conceived before the rods, and the flocks brought forth striped, speckled, and spotted.
40 Jacob separated the lambs, and set the faces of the flock toward the ringstraked, and all the brown in the flock of Laban; and put his flock will part, not put with Laban's flock.
41 And it was so every time they conceived the strong sheep, Jacob put the rods before the eyes of the flock in the gutters, that they might conceive among the rods.
42 But when weakened the herd, not the set. So the feebler were Laban's, and the stronger Jacob's.
43 And the man grew in great way, and had large flocks, and maidservants and servants and camels and donkeys.
