The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel 39
“Therefore, son of man, prophesy against Gog and say: ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am against you, Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal.
I will turn you around and put six hooks on you. I will bring you up from the north and bring you to the mountains of Israel.
I will take your bow from your left hand and make your arrows fall from your right hand.
You and all your troops and the peoples with you will fall on the mountains of Israel. I will give you as food to the birds of prey, every winged bird, and the wild animals.
You will fall on the open field, for I have spoken, declares the Sovereign Lord.
I will send fire on Magog and on those who dwell securely in the islands; And they will know that I am the Lord.
And I will make known my holy name in the midst of my people Israel, and I will no more let my holy name be profaned; and the nations shall know that I am the Lord, the Holy One in Israel.
Behold, it is coming, and it shall be fulfilled, says the Lord God: this is the day of which I have spoken.
And the inhabitants of the cities of Israel shall go out, and shall utterly burn the weapons, the shields, and the bucklers, and the bows, and the arrows, and the hand sticks, and the spears; and they shall make a fire with all of them for seven years.
And they shall not bring wood from the field, nor cut it from the forests, but they shall kindle fire with the weapons; and they shall plunder those who plundered, and loot those who looted them, says the Lord God.
And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will give to Gog a place of burial there in Israel, in the valley of them that pass by on the east side of the sea: and they shall be astonished that pass by it; and they shall bury Gog there, and all his multitude: and they shall call it the valley of the multitude of Gog.
And the house of Israel shall bury them: and it shall be a memorial unto them the day that I am glorified, saith the Lord GOD.
Yes, all the people of the land shall bury them: and it shall be a memorial unto them the day that I am glorified, saith the Lord GOD.
And men shall be chosen, that they shall continually pass through the land, to bury them that are left upon the face of the earth, to cleanse them: seven months shall they perform the work.
And they that pass through the land shall go through it: and when any man seeth a bone of a man, he shall set up a sign by his side, till the gravediggers bury him in the valley of the multitude of Gog.
And the name of the city shall be Hamonah: thus shall they cleanse the land.
Therefore, O son of man, thus says the Lord GOD: Say to the birds of every kind, and to all the beasts of the field: Assemble yourselves and come, come from all sides to my sacrifice, which I have sacrificed for you, a great sacrifice on the mountains of Israel, and eat flesh and drink blood.
You shall eat the flesh of the mighty and drink the blood of the princes of the earth; of rams, of lambs, and of goats, and of calves, all fattened in Bashan.
And you shall eat the fat until you are full, and drink the blood until you are drunk, the fat and the blood of my sacrifice which I have sacrificed for you.
And you shall feast at my table on horses, and on chariots, on mighty men, and on all men of war, says the Lord GOD.
And I will set my glory among the nations, and all the nations shall see my judgment which I have executed, and my hand which I have laid upon them.
And the house of Israel shall know that I am the Lord their God from that day forward.
And the nations shall know that the house of Israel were taken captive because of their iniquity, because they rebelled against me, and I hid my face from them, and delivered them into the hands of their adversaries, and they all fell by the sword;
According to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions I dealt with them, and hid my face from them.
Therefore thus says the Lord God: Now I will bring back the captives of Jacob. And I will have compassion on all the house of Israel; I will be zealous for my holy name;
They will bear their shame and all their rebellion, with which they rebelled against me, when they dwelt securely in their land, with no one to frighten them.
When I bring them back from the peoples and gather them from the lands of their enemies, and am sanctified among them in the sight of many nations,
then they will know that I, the Lord their God, saw that I sent them into captivity among the nations and gathered them back to their own land, and that I excluded none of them.
Nor will I hide my face from them anymore, when I have poured out my Spirit on the house of Israel, declares the Lord God.
