Numbers 10
The two silver trumpets
And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
Make two trumpets of silver: of the beaten work you shall make them: and they shall be for the convocation of the congregation, and for the departure of the camp.
And when both shall touch them, then shall the whole congregation assemble unto thee at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
But when it touches only one, then the princes, the heads of the thousands of Israel, shall be gathered to thee.
When the idols, which are lodged in the east side, shall go forth, and the idols shall rejoice.
And when the second time they shall sound, and they shall sound, then shall the camp of the south of the camp go forth: and they shall sound, and shall play them to their going out.
But gather the congregation together, and ye shall touch them; but without clinking.
And the sons of Aaron the priests shall sound the trumpets: and it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations.
And when you go out to fight against the enemy in your land, who is oppressing you, you will blow the trumpets with the trumpets, and you will be remembered before the Lord your God, and you will be saved from your enemies.
And in the day of your gladness, and in your solemnities, and in the beginnings of your months, ye shall blow the trumpets upon your burnt offerings, and upon your peace offerings, and it shall be a remembrance before your God: I am the LORD your God.
