Esther 07 Esther Denounces Haman

 Esther 07

Esther Denounces Haman

1 So the king came with Haman to drink with Queen Esther.

2 The king said to Esther on the second day at the banquet of wine, "What is your petition, Queen Esther? It shall be granted to you. And what is your request? It shall be granted to half the kingdom."

3 Then Queen Esther answered and said, "If, O king, I have found favor in your eyes, and if it pleases the king, let my life be given to me as my petition, and my people as my petition.

4 For we are sold, I and my people, to be destroyed, to be killed, and to be destroyed. If they had sold us even for male and female servants, I would have kept quiet; though the oppressor would not have repaid the king's loss."

5 Then King Ahasuerus answered and said to Queen Esther, "Who is he? And where is he who dared to do this?"

6 And Esther said, The man, the oppressor, and the enemy, is this wicked Haman. Then Haman was disturbed before the king and queen.

7 And the king in his wrath rose from the banquet of wine into the palace garden: and Haman stood to plead with Queen Esther for his life, for he saw that evil was determined upon him by the king.

8 And when the king returned from the palace garden to the house of the banquet of wine, Haman had fallen prostrate upon the couch where Esther was. And the king said, Would he also force the queen before me in this house? As soon as the word went out of the king's mouth, they covered Haman's face.

9 Then said Harbona, one of the eunuchs that served before the king, Behold, the gallows fifty cubits high, which Haman made for Mordecai, who had spoken good to the king, standeth by the house of Haman. And the king said, Hang him on it.

10 So they hanged Haman on the gallows he had prepared for Mordecai. Then the king's wrath was appeased.

Ester 07 Ester denuncia Hamã

Ester 07

8 राजा के राजकीय वस्त्र जो वह पहनता है, और वह घोड़ा जिस पर वह सवार होता है, लाया जाए और उसके सिर पर राजकीय मुकुट रखा जाए;

Esther 06 The King Reads the Chronicles and Decides to Honor Mordecai

 Esther 06

The King Reads the Chronicles and Decides to Honor Mordecai

1 That night the king could not sleep; so he ordered the book of the chronicles to be brought and read before the king.

2 And it was found written that Mordecai had reported about Bigthan and Teresh, two of the king's eunuchs who kept the door, who sought to lay hands on King Ahasuerus.

3 Then the king said, "What honor and reward has been given to Mordecai for this?" And the king's young men, his servants, said, "Nothing has been done to him."

4 Then the king said, "Who is in the court?" Now Haman had gone into the king's outer court to tell the king to hang Mordecai on the gallows that he had prepared for him.

5 And the king's young men said to him, "Behold, Haman is in the court." And the king ordered him to come in.

6 When Haman came in, the king said to him, “What shall be done for the man whom the king delights in honoring?” Then Haman thought in his heart, “Whom will the king delight in honoring him more than me?”

7 So Haman said to the king, “The man whom the king delights in honoring,

8 let the royal robes that the king wears be brought, and let the horse on which the king rides be mounted, and let the royal crown be placed on his head.

9 Let the robe and the horse be given to one of the king’s princes, one of the greatest lords, and let the man whom the king delights in honor be clothed with them. Then let him ride through the streets of the city, and let it be proclaimed before him, ‘This is what shall be done for the man whom the king delights in honoring.’

10 Then the king said to Haman, “Hurry, take the robe and the horse, as you have said, and do so for Mordecai the Jew who sits at the king’s gate. and do not let anything fall from your mouth.

11 So Haman took the robe and the horse, and arrayed Mordecai, and led him on horseback through the streets of the city, and proclaimed before him, "This shall be done to the man whom the king delights to honor!"

12 After this Mordecai returned to the king's gate, but Haman hurried to his house in disgust, with his head covered.

13 Then Haman told Zeresh his wife and all his friends all that had happened to him. Then his wise men and Zeresh his wife said to him, "If Mordecai, before whom you have begun to fall, is of the Jewish race, he will not prevail against him, but you will surely fall before him."

14 While they were still talking with him, the king's eunuchs arrived and hurried to bring Haman to the banquet that Esther had prepared.

Ester 06 O rei lê as crônicas e determina honrar Mardoqueu

Ester 06

O rei lê as crônicas e determina honrar Mardoqueu

8 Traga o vestido real de que o rei se costuma vestir, monte também o cavalo em que o rei costuma andar montado, e ponha-se-lhe a coroa real na sua cabeça;

Esther 05 Esther enters the presence of the king and invites him and Haman to two banquets

 Esther 05

Esther enters the presence of the king and invites him and Haman to two banquets

1 So it happened on the third day that Esther put on her royal robes and stood in the inner court of the king's house, opposite the king's chamber; while the king was sitting on his royal throne, in the royal house, opposite the entrance to the chamber.

2 And it happened, when the king saw Queen Esther standing in the court, that she found favor in his eyes; and the king pointed to Esther the golden cedar that was in his hand; and Esther came near and touched the top of the scepter.

3 Then the king said to her, "What is your request, Queen Esther? Or what is your request? Even half the kingdom will be given to you."

4 And Esther said, "If it pleases the king, let the king and Haman come today to the banquet that I have prepared for him."

5 Then the king said, “Make Haman hurry, so that he may do what Esther has commanded.” So the king and Haman came to the banquet that Esther had prepared.

6 At the banquet of wine, the king said to Esther, “What is your petition? It will be granted to you. And what is your request? It will be granted, even to half the kingdom.”

7 Then Esther answered and said, “My petition and my request is this:

8 If I have found favor in the king’s eyes, and if it pleases the king to grant my petition and grant my request, let the king and Haman come to the banquet that I will prepare for them, and tomorrow I will do as the king has commanded.”

9 So Haman went out that day joyful and in good spirits. But when Haman saw Mordecai at the king’s gate, and that he did not rise or move before him, Haman was filled with wrath against Mordecai.

10 But Haman restrained himself and went to his house. and he sent and had his friends and Zeresh his wife brought in.

11 Then Haman told them the glory of his riches and the multitude of his children, and all the ways in which the king had promoted him, and how he had advanced him above the princes and servants of the king.

12 Haman said, “Neither did Queen Esther invite anyone with the king to the banquet she prepared except me; and tomorrow I am invited by her and the king.

13 But all this does not satisfy me, as long as I see Mordecai the Jew sitting at the king’s gate.”

14 Then Zeresh his wife and all his friends said to him, “Let a gallows fifty cubits high be made, and tomorrow tell the king that Mordecai be hanged on it, and then come in joyfully with the king to the banquet.” And this advice pleased Haman, and he had the gallows made.

6 Disse o rei a Ester, no banquete do vinho: Qual é a tua petição?

13 Porém tudo isto me não satisfaz, enquanto vir o judeu Mardoqueu assentado à porta do rei.

Esther 04 The Consternation and Sorrow of the Jews

 Esther 04

The Consternation and Sorrow of the Jews

1 When Mordecai heard all that had happened, Mordecai tore his clothes and put on sackcloth and ashes, and went out into the city and cried with a loud and bitter cry.

2 And he came to the king's gate, for no one could enter the king's gates wearing sackcloth.

3 And in every province, wherever the king's word and his law came, there was great mourning among the Jews, with fasting, weeping, and lamentation; and many lay in sackcloth and ashes.

4 Then Esther's maidens and her eunuchs came and told her, and the queen was very grieved. She sent garments to put on Mordecai and to take off his sackcloth, but he would not accept them.

5 Then Esther called Hathach, one of the king's eunuchs whom the king had placed in her presence, and gave him a command to Mordecai, to find out what this was and why.

6 So Hathach went out to Mordecai in the square of the city that was before the king's gate.

7 Mordecai told him everything that had happened to him, and also the offering of the silver that Haman had said he would give to the king's treasury for the Jews, to destroy them.

8 He also gave him the copy of the written law that had been published in Susa to destroy them, to show it to Esther, and to make it known to her, and to order her to go to the king and to make supplication and plead in his presence for her people.

9 So Hathach came and told Esther the words of Mordecai.

10 Then Esther spoke to Hathach and sent word to Mordecai, saying,

11 All the king's servants and the people of the king's provinces know that for anyone who enters the king's inner court without being summoned, there is only one sentence, and that is death, unless the king holds out the golden scepter to him, that he may live; and I have not been summoned to enter the king these thirty days.

12 And they told Mordecai what Esther had said.

13 Then Mordecai ordered Esther to be told again, "Do not imagine that you will escape in the king's house more than all the other Jews.

14 For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance will come to the Jews from another place, but you and your father's house will perish. And who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?"

15 Then Esther told them to tell Mordecai again,

16 “Go, gather together all the Jews who are present in Susa, and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my maidens will fast likewise. Then I will go to the king, though it is not according to the law. If I die, I will die.”

17 So Mordecai went and did according to all that Esther had commanded him.

Ester 04 A consternação e tristeza dos judeus

Ester 04

A consternação e tristeza dos judeus

1 Quando Mardoqueu soube tudo quanto se havia passado, rasgou Mardoqueu os seus vestidos, e vestiu-se de um saco com cinza, e saiu pelo meio da cidade, e clamou com grande e amargo clamor;

10 Então disse Ester a Hataque e mandou-lhe dizer a Mardoqueu:

Esther 03 Haman intends to kill all the Jews

 Esther 03

Haman intends to kill all the Jews

7 In the first month (that is, the month of Nisan), in the twelfth year of King Ahasuerus, Pur, that is, the lot, was cast before Haman, day by day and month by month, until the twelfth month, which is the month of Adar.

8 And Haman said to King Ahasuerus, There is a certain people scattered and scattered among the peoples in all the provinces of your kingdom, whose laws are different from those of all the peoples, and they do not keep the king's laws; therefore it is not in the king's interest to let them remain.

9 If it pleases the king, let it be written that they be put to death; and I will put in the hands of those who do the work ten thousand talents of silver, to go into the king's treasuries.

10 Then the king took his signet ring from his hand and gave it to Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, the enemy of the Jews.

11 And the king said to Haman, The silver is given to you, and also these people, to do with them as it seems good to you.

12 Then they called the king's scribes in the first month, on the thirteenth day of the same, and according to all that Haman commanded, it was written to the king's princes, and to the governors who were over each province, and to the leaders of each people; to each province according to its writing, and to each people according to its language; it was written in the name of King Ahasuerus, and sealed with the king's ring.

13 And letters were sent by the hand of the couriers throughout all the king's provinces, to destroy, to kill, and to destroy all the Jews, both young and old, both children and women, on one day, the thirteenth day of the twelfth month (which is the month of Adar), and to plunder their spoil.

14 A copy of the letter that the law should be proclaimed in every province was sent to all the peoples, so that they would be prepared for that day.

15 The couriers, urged by the king's word, went out, and the law was proclaimed in Susa citadel. The king and Haman sat down to drink, but the city of Susa was in confusion.

Ester 03 Hamã pretende matar todos os judeus

Ester 03

Esther 03 Haman is Exalted, and Creates Hatred for Mordecai

 Esther 03

Haman is Exalted, and Creates Hatred for Mordecai

1 After these things King Ahasuerus promoted Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, and advanced him, and set his place above all the princes who were with him.

2 And all the king's servants who were at the king's gate bowed down and prostrated themselves before Haman, for so the king had commanded concerning him; but Mordecai would not bow down or prostrate himself.

3 Then the king's servants who were at the king's gate said to Mordecai, "Why do you transgress the king's command?"

4 And it came to pass, when they spoke this to him day after day, and he would not listen to them, that they told Haman, to see whether Mordecai's words would stand, because he had told them that he was a Jew.

5 When Haman saw that Mordecai did not bow down or pay homage to him, Haman was furious.

6 But it seemed to him little to lay hands on Mordecai alone (for they had declared Mordecai's people to him). So Haman sought to destroy all the Jews who were in the whole kingdom of Ahasuerus, even the people of Mordecai.

Ester 03 Hamã é exaltado, e cria ódio a Mardoqueu

Ester 03

Hamã é exaltado, e cria ódio a Mardoqueu

 Esther 02

Mordecai Discovers a Plot

21 In those days, while Mordecai was sitting at the king's gate, two of the king's eunuchs, who kept the gate, Bigthan and Teresh, were very angry and sought to lay hands on King Ahasuerus.

22 And it came to Mordecai's attention, and he told Queen Esther, and Esther told the king in Mordecai's name.

23 And the matter was inquired into, and it was discovered, and they both were hanged on a gallows; and it was written in the chronicles before the king.

Ester 02 Mardoqueu descobre uma conspiração

Ester 02
