The Book of the Prophet Isaiah 56
The Faults and Crimes of Israel
8 Thus says the Lord God, who gathers the dispersed of Israel: I will gather yet others to those already gathered to him.
9 All you beasts of the field, all you wild animals of the forest, come and devour!
10 All their watchmen are blind, they are all ignorant; they are all mute dogs, they cannot bark; they lie asleep, they are asleep, they love to slumber.
11 These dogs are greedy, they can never have enough; they are shepherds who have no understanding; they all turn to their own way, each to his own gain, each to his own advantage.
12 “Come,” they say, “let us get wine, let us drink our fill of strong drink; and tomorrow will be like this day, only greater and more glorious.”
