Joshua helps Gibeon
6 And the men of Gibeon sent Joshua to the camp of Gilgal, saying, Take not thy hands from thy servants; come up fast to us, and deliver us, and help us, for all the kings of the Amorites that dwell in the mountain are gathered together against us.
7 And Joshua of Gilgal went up, he and all the men of war with him, and all the mighty and mighty men.
8 And the Lord said unto Joshua, Fear not, for I have given it into thy hand: none of them will stand before thee.
9 And Joshua came upon them suddenly, because all the night he came up from Gilgal.
10 And the LORD troubled them before Israel, and smote them with a great wound in Gibeon: and followed them by the way that goeth up to Betorom, and smote them unto Azeca and Makkedah.
11 And it came to pass, when they had fled before Israel to the descent of Betoron, that the LORD threw great stones upon them from the heavens unto Azeca, and they died: and there were many more that died from the hail stones than the children of Israel killed with the sword.
