Samuel 19 Michal deceives his father and saves David

Samuel 19

Michal deceives his father and saves David

Then Michal went down to David through a window: and he went, and fled, and escaped.

And Michal took a statue and laid it on the bed, and put a goatskin at his head, and covered it with a blanket.

And when Saul sent messengers to bring David, she said, He is sick.

Then Saul sent messengers to see David, saying, Bring me to the bed, that I may kill him.

So the messengers came, behold, the statue was on the bed and the goatskin at its head.

Then Saul said to Michal, Why have you so deceived me, and let my enemy go and escape? And Michal said to Saul, Because he said to me, Let me go, why should I kill you?

So David fled and escaped, and came to Samuel, to Ramah, and told him all that Saul had done to him: and they went, he and Samuel, and stayed in Naioth.

And they announced it to Saul, saying, Behold, David is in Naioth in Ramah.

Then Saul sent messengers to bring to David, who saw a congregation of prophets prophesying, where Samuel was presiding over them: and the spirit of God came upon Saul's messengers, and they also prophesied.

And when Saul warned of this, he sent other messengers, and they also prophesied: then Saul sent a third messengers, who also prophesied.

Then he went to Ramah himself, and came to the great well that was in Secu; and asking, he said, Where are Samuel and David? And they said to him, Behold, they are in Naioth, in Ramah.

Then he went to Naioth, in Ramah: and the same spirit of God came upon him, and he was prophesying, until he came to Naioth in Ramah.

And he also took off his clothes, and he also prophesied before Samuel, and was naked on the ground all that day and all that night; so it is said, Is Saul also among the prophets?
