God promises to send an angel
20 Behold, I send an angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and bring thee into the place which I have prepared.
21 Beware of him, and hear his voice s, and not provoke him: he will not forgive your transgressions; because my name is in him.
22 But if ye will hear his voice, and do all that I say, then I will be an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your adversaries.
23 For my angel shall go before thee, and will take you to the Amorites, and the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, Hivites, and Jebusites: and I will destroy them.
24 not bow down thyself to their gods, nor serve them, nor do after their works: before utterly overthrow them, and quite break down their statues.
25 And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will remove from your midst diseases.
26 There will be some who miscarry or be barren in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfill.
27 I will send my terror before thee, staggering to all the people where you come in, and I will make all your enemies you turn your back.
28 I will send hornets before thee, that they put out the Hivites, the Canaanites, and the Hittites before you.
29 In one year will not drive them out from before you, so that the land become desolate and the beasts of the field multiply against you.
30 gradually drive them out from before thee, until thou be increased, and possess the land by inheritance.
31 And I will set thy border from the Red Sea to the sea of ​​the Philistines, and from the desert to the river: I will give into your hand the inhabitants of the land, so that throws out before you.
32 Thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor with their gods.
33 In your land shall not dwell, lest they make thee sin against me; if thou serve their gods will certainly be a snare to you.
