The law about property
1 If someone steals ox or a sheep, and kill it, or sell, for an ox shall pay five oxen and the sheep four sheep.
2 If a thief be found breaking up, and be smitten, and die, which struck him shall not be guilty of blood.
3 If the sun be risen upon him, shall be guilty of blood. The thief will make full restitution; and if you do not have to pay, will be sold for his theft.
4 If the theft be found in his hand alive, whether ox, or ass, or sheep, he shall pay double.
5 If someone does your pet folder in a field or vineyard, and drop to eat in the other camp, the best of his own field and the best of his own vineyard shall return.
6 If you bust a fire and catch thorns, and burn the wheat meda, or the standing corn, or the field, he that kindled the fire completely burnt pay.
7 If someone gives silver or vessels to his neighbor to keep; and it is stolen from the man's house, if the thief be found, you shall pay double.
8 If the thief is not found, then the owner of the house shall be brought before the judges, to see if it put his hand on his neighbor's.
9 Over all injustice business, for ox, for ass, for sheep, about dress, about all the lost thing that anyone says is his, the cause of both parties shall come before the judges: those who condemn judges the pay double to his neighbor.
10 If someone gives his neighbor to keep a donkey, an ox, a sheep, or any animal, and die, or is torn, or driven away, no man seeing,
11 Then the Lord will oath between them, that does not put his hand on his neighbor's: and its owner will accept, and the other not refund.
12 But if you are stolen, will pay to its owner.
13 But if you are torn in pieces, let him bring it for witness, and will not pay the lacerated.
14 And if someone on your next order something, and for damaged or dead, not being with his owner, certainly the refund.
15 If the owner was present, not a refund, if it was rented, will be the price of rent.
