1 Praise waits for you, O God, in Zion; to you the vow will be fulfilled.

2 O you who hear prayer, all flesh will come to you.

3 Iniquities prevail against me; but you forgive our transgressions.

4 Blessed is the one you choose, and bring near to you, to dwell in your courts; we will be satisfied with the goodness of your house, your holy temple.

5 You will answer us with awesome justice, O God of our salvation; you are the hope of all the ends of the earth, and of those who are far away on the sea;

6 Who by his strength establishes the mountains, who girds them with strength;

7 Who stills the roaring of the seas, the noise of their waves, and the tumult of the people.

 8 Those who dwell in the ends of the earth fear your signs; you make the outgoings of the morning and the evening joyful.

9 You visit the earth and water it; you greatly enrich it with the river of God, which is full of water; you give it grain when you have prepared it.

10 You water its furrows, regulating its height; you soften it with abundant rain; you bless its increase.

11 You crown the year with your goodness, and your paths drop fatness.

12 They drop on the pastures of the wilderness, and the hills are girded with joy.

13 The fields are covered with flocks, and the valleys are clothed with grain; therefore they rejoice and sing.

3 Prevalecem as iniqüidades contra mim; mas tu perdoas as nossas transgressões.

4 Bem-aventurado aquele a quem tu escolhes, e fazer chegar a ti, para que habite em teus átrios: nós seremos satisfeitos da bondade da tua casa e do teu santo templo.

5 Com coisas tremendas de justiça nos responderás, ó Deus da nossa salvação; tu és a esperança de todas as extremidades da terra, e daqueles que estão longe sobre o mar;

6 O que pela sua força consolida os montes, cingindo de fortaleza:

7 O que aplaca o ruído dos mares, o ruído das suas ondas, e o tumulto das gentes.

8 E os que habitam nos fins da terra temem os teus sinais; tu fazes alegre as saídas da manhã e da tarde.

9 Tu visitas a terra, e a refrescas; tu a enriqueces grandemente com o rio de Deus, que está cheio de água; tu lhe dás o trigo, quando assim a tens preparada;

10 Enches de água os seus sulcos, regulando a sua altura; amolece-la com a muita chuva; abençoas as suas novidades;

11 Coroas o ano da tua bondade, e as tuas veredas destilam gordura;

12 Destilam sobre os pastos do deserto, e os outeiros cingem-se de alegria.

13 Os campos cobrem-se de rebanhos, e os vales vestem-se de trigo: por isso eles se regozijam e cantam.

3 जिन्होंने अपनी जीभ को तलवारों के समान तीखा किया है, और अपने तीरों को कड़वी बातों के साथ ढाला है,

4 वे गुप्त स्थानों से सीधे लोगों पर तीर चलाते हैं; वे उस पर अचानक तीर चलाते हैं, और डरते नहीं।

5 वे दुष्ट युक्तियों में दृढ़ रहते हैं; वे गुप्त में जाल बिछाने की बात करते हैं, और कहते हैं, "उन्हें कौन देखेगा?"

1 Hear, O God, my voice in my prayer; deliver my life from the terror of the enemy.

2 Hide me from the secret counsel of the wicked, from the tumult of the workers of iniquity.

3 Who have sharpened their tongues like swords, and bent their arrows with bitter words,

4 To shoot from secret places at the upright; they shoot at him suddenly, and are not afraid.

5 They stand firm in evil devices; they speak of laying a trap in secret, and say, "Who will see them?"

6 They commit malicious wrath, they search out everything that can be searched out, even the inward parts of a man, and the inmost heart.

7 But God will shoot an arrow at them, and suddenly they will be wounded.

8 So they will turn their tongues against themselves; All who see them will flee.

9 And all men will fear, and will declare the work of God, and will consider his acts prudently.

10 The righteous will be glad in the Lord, and will trust in him, and all the upright in heart will rejoice.

5 Firmam-se em mau intento; falam de armar laços secretamente, e dizem: Quem os verá?

6 Fazem indignação maliciosas, inquirem tudo o que se pode inquirir; até o íntimo de cada um, e o profundo coração.

7 Mas Deus disparará sobre eles uma seta, e de repente ficarão feridos.

1 O God, you are my God; early will I seek you; my soul thirsts for you; my flesh longs for you in a dry and weary land, where there is no water;

2 That I may see your strength and your glory, as I have seen you in the sanctuary.

3 For your lovingkindness is better than life; my lips shall praise you.

4 So I will bless you as long as I live; in your name I will lift up my hands.

5 My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise you with joyful lips.

6 When I remember you upon my bed, and meditate on you in the night watches.

7 Because you have been my help; I will sing joyfully in the shadow of your wings.

8 My soul follows closely behind you; your right hand upholds me. 

9 But those who seek my life to destroy it will go to the lower parts of the earth.

10 They will fall by the sword and will be food for foxes.

11 But the king will rejoice in God; everyone who swears by him will boast, for the mouths of those who speak lies will be stopped.

1 My soul waits for God alone; my salvation comes from him.

1 Hear my cry, O God; attend to my prayer.

2 You have shaken the earth and split it; heal its cracks, for it trembles.

3 You have shown your people hard things; you have made us drink the wine of trouble.

4 You have given a standard to those who fear you, that they may set it up on high for the truth's sake.

5 That your beloved may be delivered, save us with your right hand, and answer us.

6 God has said in his holiness: I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem and measure out the valley of Succoth.

7 Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine; Ephraim is the strength of my head; Judah is my lawgiver.

8 Moab is my washpot; I will cast my shoe over Edom; rejoice, O Palestine, because of me.

9 Who will bring me to the strong city? Who will guide me to Edom?

9 उनकी शक्ति के कारण मैं तेरी बाट जोहता रहूंगा; क्योंकि परमेश्वर मेरा प्रबल गढ़ है।

10 मेरी दया का परमेश्वर मुझे चिताएगा; परमेश्वर मेरे शत्रुओं पर मेरी इच्छा को प्रकट करेगा।

11 उन्हें न मार, कहीं ऐसा न हो कि मेरी प्रजा भूल जाए; अपनी शक्ति से उन्हें तितर-बितर कर, और हे यहोवा, हे हमारी ढाल, उन्हें गिरा दे।

12 उनके मुंह के पाप और उनके होठों के वचनों के कारण वे अपने घमण्ड में फंस जाएं; और उनके शाप और झूठ के कारण जो वे बोलते हैं।

13 अपने क्रोध में उन्हें भस्म कर दे, उन्हें ऐसा भस्म कर दे कि वे फिर न रहें; कि वे जानें कि परमेश्वर याकूब में पृथ्वी की छोर तक राज्य करता है।

14 और वे सांझ को फिर आकर नगर के चारों ओर घूमते हुए कुत्तों की नाईं चिल्लाएंगे।

15 वे भोजन की तलाश में इधर-उधर भटकें, और रात को तृप्त हुए बिना बिताएं।

16 परन्तु मैं तेरे बल का गीत गाऊंगा; भोर को मैं तेरे प्रेम का जयजयकार करूंगा, क्योंकि तू मेरा गढ़, मेरे संकट के दिन मेरा शरणस्थान है।

David pleads with God to deliver him, and pleads his innocence

1 Deliver me, my God, from my enemies; defend me from those who rise up against me.

2 Deliver me from the workers of iniquity, and save me from bloodthirsty men.

3 For, behold, they lie in wait for my soul; the mighty are gathered together against me, without my transgression or my sin, O Lord.

4 They run and prepare themselves, without my guilt; awake to help me, and look.

5 But you, O Lord God of hosts, the God of Israel, awake to visit all the nations; have no mercy on any of the treacherous workers of iniquity.

6 They return at evening; they howl like dogs, going around the city.

7 Behold, they cry out with their mouths; swords are in their lips; for who will listen?

8 But you, O Lord, will laugh at them; you will mock all the nations.

9 Because of their strength I will wait for you; for God is my high defense.

10 The God of my mercy will warn me; God will show me my desire on my enemies.

11 Do not kill them, lest my people forget; scatter them by your power and bring them down, O Lord, our shield.

12 For the sin of their mouth and the words of their lips let them be taken in their pride; and for the curses and lies they utter.

13 Consume them in your wrath, consume them so that they are no more; that they may know that God reigns in Jacob to the ends of the earth.

14 And they will come again at evening, and howl like dogs, going around the city. 

15 Let them wander about looking for food, and spend the night without being satisfied.

16 But I will sing of your strength; in the morning I will sing aloud of your love, for you have been my stronghold, my refuge in the day of my trouble.

17 To you, my strength, I will sing praises; for God is my defense, the God of my mercy.

1 Livra-me, meu Deus, dos meus inimigos; defende-me daqueles que se levantam contra mim.

2 Livra-me dos que praticam a iniqüidade, e salva-me dos homens sanguinários.

3 Pois eis que armam ciladas à minha alma; os fortes se ajuntaram contra mim, sem transgressão minha ou pecado meu, ó Senhor.

4 Eles correm, e se preparam, sem culpa minha; desperta para me ajudares, e olha.

5 Tu pois ó Senhor, Deus dos Exércitos, Deus de Israel, desperta para visitares todas as nações: não tenhas misericórdia de nenhum dos pérfidos que praticam iniqüidade.

6 Voltam à tarde; dão ganidos como cães, rodeando a cidade.

7 Eis que eles dão gritos com as suas bocas; espadas estão nos seus lábios; porque (dizem eles), quem ouve?

8 Mas tu, Senhor, te rirás deles: zombarás de todos os gentios.

9 Por causa da sua força eu te aguardarei; pois Deus é a minha alta defesa.

10 O Deus da minha misericórdia me prevenirá; Deus me fará ver o meu desejo sobre os meus inimigos.

11 Não os mates, para que o meu povo se não esqueça: espalha-os pelo teu poder e abate-os, ó Senhor, nosso escudo.

12 Pelo pecado da sua boca e pelas palavras dos seus lábios fiquem presos na sua soberba; e pelas maldições e pelas mentiras que proferem.

13 Consome-os na tua indignação, consome-os, de modo que não existam mais; para que saibam que Deus reina em Jacó até aos fins da terra.

14 E tornem a vir à tarde, e dêem ganidos como cães, rodeando a cidade.

15 Vagueiem buscando o que comer, e passem a noite sem se fartarem.

16 Eu porém cantarei a tua força; pela manhã louvarei com alegria a tua misericórdia: porquanto tu foste o meu alto refúgio, e proteção no dia da minha angústia.

17 A ti, ó fortaleza minha, cantarei louvores; porque Deus é a minha defesa, é o Deus da minha misericórdia.
