Psalms 65
David praises God and gives thanks for the blessings he has received
Praise waits for you, O God, in Zion; to you the vow will be fulfilled.
O you who hear prayer, all flesh will come to you.
Iniquities prevail against me; but you forgive our transgressions.
Blessed is the one you choose, and bring near to you, to dwell in your courts; we will be satisfied with the goodness of your house, your holy temple.
You will answer us with awesome justice, O God of our salvation; you are the hope of all the ends of the earth, and of those who are far away on the sea;
Who by his strength establishes the mountains, who girds them with strength;
Who stills the roaring of the seas, the noise of their waves, and the tumult of the people.
Those who dwell in the ends of the earth fear your signs; you make the outgoings of the morning and the evening joyful.
You visit the earth and water it; you greatly enrich it with the river of God, which is full of water; you give it grain when you have prepared it.
You water its furrows, regulating its height; you soften it with abundant rain; you bless its increase.
You crown the year with your goodness, and your paths drop fatness.
They drop on the pastures of the wilderness, and the hills are girded with joy.
The fields are covered with flocks, and the valleys are clothed with grain; therefore they rejoice and sing.
