13 Assim Salomão veio a Jerusalém, do alto que está em Gibeom, de diante da tenda da congregação: e reinou sobre Israel.

17 E faziam subir e sair do Egito cada carro por seiscentos siclos de prata, e cada cavalo por cento e cinqüenta; e assim por meio deles tiravam cavalos para todos os reis dos heteus, e para os reis da Síria.

Solomon Asks God for Wisdom

7 That same night God appeared to Solomon and said to him, “Ask whatever you want me to give you.”

8 And Solomon said to God, “You have shown great kindness to my father David, and have made me king in his place.

9 Now, O Lord God, let your word to my father David be confirmed, for you have made me king over a people as numerous as the dust of the earth.

10 Now therefore give me wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people; for who is able to judge this great people of yours?” 

11 Then God said to Solomon, “Because this was in your heart, and you did not ask for riches, wealth, or honor, or for the life of those who hate you, nor did you ask for long life, but you asked for wisdom and knowledge, that you might judge my people, over whom I have made you king; 

12 Wisdom and knowledge have been given to you, and I will give you riches, wealth, and honor, such as no king before you has had; nor will there be any after you like it.

7 Naquela mesma noite Deus apareceu a Salomão, e disse-lhe: Pede o que quiseres que eu te dê.

8 E Salomão disse a Deus: Tu usaste de grande beneficência com meu pai Davi: e a mim me fizeste rei em seu lugar.

9 Agora pois,ó Senhor Deus, confirme-se a tua palavra, dada a meu pai Davi; porque tu me fizeste rei sobre um povo mui numeroso como o pó da terra.

10 Dá-me pois agora sabedoria e conhecimento, para que eu possa sair e entrar perante este povo; porque quem poderia julgar a este  teu tão grande povo?

11 Então Deus disse a Salomão: Porquanto houve isto no teu coração, e não pediste riquezas, fazenda, ou honra, nem a morte dos que te aborrecem, nem tampouco pediste muitos dias de vida, mas pediste para ti sabedoria e conhecimento, para poderes julgar a meu povo, sobre o qual te pus rei,

12 Sabedoria e conhecimento te são dados: e te darei riquezas, e fazenda, e honra, qual nenhum rei antes de ti teve: e depois de ti tal não haverá.

1 Now Solomon the son of David prospered in his kingdom; and the Lord his God was with him, and greatly magnified it.

2 Then Solomon spoke to all Israel, to the captains over thousands and hundreds, and to the judges, and to all the princes in all Israel, chief of the fathers' houses.

3 Then Solomon and all the congregation with him went to the high place that was at Gibeon, for there was the tent of the congregation of God, which Moses the servant of the Lord had made in the wilderness.

4 Now David had brought up the ark of God from Kiriath-jearim to the place that David had prepared for it; for he had pitched a tent for it in Jerusalem.

5 And the bronze altar that Bazaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, had made, was there before the tabernacle of the Lord; and Solomon and the congregation visited it.

6 And Solomon offered there sacrifices before the Lord upon the bronze altar that was in the tabernacle of the congregation, and offered upon it a thousand burnt offerings.

1 Then King David said to the whole assembly, "My son Solomon, whom God alone has chosen, is still young and inexperienced, and the work is great, for it is not a palace for man but for the Lord God.

2 I have prepared with all my might for the house of my God gold for the things of gold, silver for the things of silver, brass for the things of brass, iron for the things of iron, and wood for the things of wood, onyx stones and stones to be set, ornamental stones and inlaid stones, and all kinds of precious stones, and marble stones in abundance.

3 And of my own free will I give for the house of my God the gold and silver that I have in excess, besides all that I have prepared for the house of the sanctuary.

 9 And the people rejoiced at their willing giving; for with a perfect heart they gave willingly to the Lord; and David the king also rejoiced with great joy.

10 Therefore David blessed the Lord in the sight of all the congregation: and David said, Blessed art thou, O Lord, the God of Israel our father, for ever and ever.

11 Thine, O Lord, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in heaven and in earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, and thou art exalted as head above all.

12 And riches and honour come from thee, and thou rulest over all; and in thy hand is power and might; and in thy hand is it to make great and to give strength to all.

13 And now, O our God, we give thee thanks, and we praise thy glorious name.

14 For who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to do such things willingly? For all things come from you, and from your hand we have given you.

15 For we are strangers before you, and pilgrims like all our fathers; our days on the earth are like a shadow, and there is no hope.

16 O Lord our God, all this abundance that we have prepared to build you a house for your holy name comes from your hand, and all is yours.

17 And I know, my God, that you test the hearts, and that you delight in integrity. I also in the integrity of my heart have given all these things willingly; and now I have seen with joy that your people who are present here have given willingly to you.

18 O Lord, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, our fathers, keep this forever in the intent of the thoughts of the heart of your people, and direct their hearts toward you.

19 And give Solomon my son a perfect heart, to keep your commandments, your testimonies, and your statutes; and to do everything, and to build this palace that I have prepared.

20 Then David said to all the assembly, "Now praise the Lord your God." Then all the assembly praised the Lord, the God of their fathers, and bowed down and prostrated themselves before the Lord and before the king.

21 And on the next day they sacrificed sacrifices to the Lord, and offered burnt offerings to the Lord, a thousand bulls, a thousand rams, and a thousand lambs, with their drink offerings, and sacrifices in abundance for all Israel.

22 And they ate and drank that day before the Lord with great joy. And they made Solomon the son of David king the second time, and anointed him to be ruler to the Lord, and Zadok to be priest.

23 So Solomon sat on the throne of the Lord as king in place of David his father, and prospered; and all Israel listened to him.

 24 All the princes and the nobles, even all the sons of King David, submitted themselves to King Solomon. 

25 The Lord magnified Solomon exceedingly in the sight of all Israel, and bestowed upon him a royal majesty such as had not been given to any king in Israel before him.

 26 So David the son of Jesse reigned over all Israel. 

27 The time that he reigned over Israel was forty years: he reigned in Hebron seven years, and in Jerusalem thirty-three years. 

28 He died in a good old age, full of years, riches, and honor; and Solomon his son reigned in his place. 

29 Now the acts of King David, first and last, are they not written in the chronicles of Samuel the seer, and in the chronicles of Nathan the prophet, and in the chronicles of Gad the seer; 

30 Together with all his kingdom and his power, and the times that went over him, and over Israel, and over all the kingdoms of those lands.

11 And David gave to Solomon his son the design of the porch with its houses, its treasuries, its upper rooms, its inner chambers, and the place for the mercy seat.

12 And the design of all that he had in his heart, namely, of the courts of the house of the LORD, and of all the chambers round about, for the treasuries of the house of God, and for the treasuries of the holy things;

13 And of the divisions of the priests, and of the Levites, and of all the work of the service of the house of the LORD, and of all the vessels of the service of the house of the LORD.

14 And he gave the gold by weight for all the vessels of every service: and the silver by weight for all the vessels of silver, for all the vessels of every manner of service: 

15 And the weight for the golden candlesticks, and their golden lamps, according to the weight of each candlestick and its lamps; and for the silver candlesticks, according to the weight of the candlestick and its lamps, according to the use of each candlestick.

16 And he gave the gold by weight for the tables of shewbread, for each table; and the silver for the silver tables.

17 And the pure gold for the forks, and for the basins, and for the bowls, and for the golden bowls, by weight for each bowl; and for the silver bowls by weight for each bowl.

18 And for the altar of incense, purified gold by weight; and the gold for the pattern of the chariot, even the cherubim that were to spread out their wings, and to cover the ark of the covenant of the LORD. 

19 “All this,” said David, “they have made known to me in writing by the word of the Lord, even all the work of this plan.” 

20 Then David said to Solomon his son, “Be strong and courageous, and do it. Do not be afraid or dismayed, for the Lord God, my God, will be with you; he will not fail you or forsake you until you have finished all the work for the service of the house of the Lord. 

21 And behold, here are the divisions of the priests and Levites for all the service of the house of God. They are also with you for all the work, volunteers with wisdom of all kinds for all the service, as are all the princes and all the people for all your commandments.

1 Then David assembled all the princes of Israel in Jerusalem, the princes of the tribes, and the captains of the courses that ministered to the king, and the captains of thousands, and the captains of hundreds, and the rulers of all the substance and possession of the king and his sons, with the eunuchs, and the mighty men, and every mighty man of valor.

2 Then King David stood up and said, "Hear me, my brethren, and my people: I had it in my heart to build a house of rest for the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and for the footstool of our God; and I had prepared to build it.

3 But God said to me, 'You shall not build a house for my name, because you are a man of war, and you have shed much blood.

4 And the Lord, the God of Israel, chose me out of all my father's house to be king over Israel forever; for he chose Judah to be prince, and my father's house out of the house of Judah; and among my father's sons he was pleased to make me king over all Israel.

5 And of all my sons (for the Lord has given me many sons), he chose my son Solomon to sit on the throne of the kingdom of the Lord over Israel.

6 And he said to me, "Your son Solomon will build my house and my courts, for I have chosen him as my son, and I will be his father.

7 And I will establish his kingdom forever, if he continues to follow my commandments and my judgments, as at this day." 8 Now therefore, in the sight of all Israel, the assembly of the Lord, and in the hearing of our God, keep and seek all the commandments of the Lord your God, that you may possess this good land, and leave it for an inheritance to your children after you forever.

9 And you, Solomon, my son, know the God of your father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind. For the Lord searches all hearts and understands all the intents of the thoughts. If you seek him, he will be found of you; but if you forsake him, he will reject you forever.

10 Now therefore, see, for the Lord has chosen you to build a house for the sanctuary; be strong and do the work.

18 Over Judah, Elihu, one of David's brothers; over Issachar, Omri the son of Michael; 

19 Over Zebulun, Irmahiah the son of Obadiah; over Naphtali, Jerimoth the son of Azriel; 

20 Over the sons of Ephraim, Hoshea the son of Azaziah; over the half-tribe of Manasseh, Joel the son of Pedaiah; 

21 Over the other half-tribe of Manasseh in Gilead, Iddo the son of Zechariah; over Benjamin, Jaasiel the son of Abner; 

22 Over Dan, Azarel the son of Jeroham; these were the leaders of the tribes of Israel.

 23 But David did not take the number of those twenty years old and under, because the Lord had said that He would multiply Israel as the stars of the sky. 

24 Joab the son of Zeruiah had begun to number them, but he did not finish, because wrath had fallen on Israel because of this; therefore the number was not recorded according to the records of King David.

25 And over the king's treasuries was Azmaveth the son of Adiel; and over the treasuries of the land, of the cities, and of the villages, and of the towers, was Jonathan the son of Uzziah.

26 And over those who worked in the field, in the tillage of the land, was Ezri the son of Chelub.

27 And over the vineyards was Shimei the Ramathite; and over that which was in the treasuries of wine was Zabdi the Shiphmite.

28 And over the olive groves and the sycamore trees that were in the plains was Baal-hanan the Gederite; and over the treasuries of oil was Joash.

 29 And over the cattle that fed in Sharon was Shitrai the Sharonite; and over the cattle of the valleys was Shaphat the son of Adlai; 

30 And over the camels was Obil the Ishmaelite; and over the donkeys was Jediiah the Meronothite;

 31 And over the sheep was Jaziz the Hagarite: all these were rulers of the possession that King David had. 

32 And Jonathan David's uncle was a counselor, a man of understanding, and a scribe; and Jeiel the son of Hachmoni was with the king's sons. 

33 And Ahithophel was on the king's counselor; and Hushai the Archite, the king's friend. 

34 And after Archophel was Jehoiada the son of Benaiah, and Abiathar: and Joab was captain of the king's army.

O número do povo, e as turmas de serviço para cada mês

 

1 Estes são os filhos de Israel segundo o seu número, os chefes dos pais, e os capitães dos milhares e das centenas, com os seus oficiais, que serviam ao rei em todos os negócios das turmas entrando e saindo de mês em mês, em todos os meses do ano: cada turma de vinte e quatro mil.

2 Sobre a primeira turma do mês primeiro estava Jasobeão, filho de Zabdiel: e em sua turma havia vinte e quatro mil.

3 Era este dos filhos de Perez, chefe de todos os capitães dos exércitos, para o primeiro mês.

4 E sobre a turma do segundo mês era Dodai, o aoíta, com a sua turma, cujo chefe era Miclote: também em sua turma havia vinte e quatro mil.

5 O terceiro capitão do exército do terceiro mês era Benaia, filho de Joiada, oficial maior e chefe: também em sua turma havia vinte e quatro mil.

6 Era este Benaia um varão entre os trinta, e sobre os trinta: e sobre a sua turma estava Amizabade, seu filho.

15 O duodécimo do duodécimo mês Heldia, o netofatita, de Otiniel: também em sua turma havia vinte e quatro mil.

16 Porém sobre as tribos de Israel eram estes: sobre os rubenitas era chefe Eliézer, filho de Zicri; sobre os simeonitas, Sefatias, filho de Maaca;

17 Sobre os levitas, Hasabias, filho de Quemuel: sobre os aaronitas, Zadoque;

18 Sobre Judá Eliú, dos irmãos de Davi; sobre Issacar, Onri, filho de Micael;

19 Sobre Zebulom, Irmaías, filho de Obadias; sobre Naftali, Jerimote, filho de Azriel;

20 Sobre os filhos de Efraim, Oséias, filho de Azazias; sobre a meia tribo de Manassés, Joel, filho de Pedaías;

21 Sobre a outra meia tribo de Manassés em Gileade, Ido, filho de Zacarias; sobre Benjamim, Jaasiel, filho de Abner;

22 Sobre Dã, Azarel, filho de Jeroão; estes eram os capitães das tribos de Israel.

23 Não tomou porém Davi o número dos de vinte anos e daí para baixo, porquanto o Senhor tinha dito que havia de multiplicar a Israel como as estrelas do céu.

24 Joabe, filho de Zeruia, tinha começado a numerá-los, porém não acabou, porquanto viera por isso grande ira sobre Israel: pelo que o número se não pôs a conta das crônicas do rei Davi.

25 E sobre os tesouros do rei estava Azmavete, filho de Adiel; e sobre os tesouros da terra, das cidades, e das aldeias, e das torres, Jônatas, filho de Uzias.

26 E sobre os que faziam a obra do campo, na lavoura da terra, Ezri, filho de Quelube.

27 E sobre as vinhas, Simei, o ramatita; porém sobre o que das vides entrava nos tesouros do vinho, Zabdi o sifmita.

28 E sobre os olivais e figueiras bravas que havia nas campinas, Baal-Hanã, o gederita: porém Joás sobre os tesouros do azeite.

29 E sobre os gados que pasciam em Sarom, Sitrai, o saronita: porém sobre os gados dos vales, Safate, filho de Adlai.

30 E sobre os camelos, Obil, o ismaelita: e sobre as jumentas, Jedias, o meronotita.

31 E sobre o gado miúdo, Jaziz, o hagarita: todos estes eram maiorais da fazenda que tinha o rei Davi.

32 E Jônatas, tio de Davi, era do conselho, homem entendido, e também escriba: e Jeiel, filho de Hacmoni, estava com os filhos do rei.

33 E Aquitófel era do conselho do rei: e Husai, o arquita, amigo do rei.

34 E depois de  Arquitófel, Joiada, filho de Benaia, e Abiatar; porém Joabe era chefe do exército do rei.

29 इस्राएलियों में से कनन्याह और उसके पुत्रोंको इस्राएल के ऊपर हाकिमोंऔर न्यायियोंके काम के लिथे नियुक्त किया गया।

30 हेब्रोनियों में से हसब्याह और उसके भाई एक हजार सात सौ वीर पुरूष थे, और वे यरदन के पार पश्चिम की ओर इस्राएल में यहोवा के सब काम और राजा की सेवा के अधिकारी थे।

31 हेब्रोनियोंमें से यरिय्याह अपके पितरोंमें से मुख्य या। दाऊद के राज्य के चालीसवें वर्ष में उन्होंने गिलाद के याएजेर में शूरवीरोंकी खोज की, और उनको अपने बीच में पाया।

32 और उसके भाई दो हजार सात सौ वीर और पितरोंके मुख्य पुरूष थे; और राजा दाऊद ने उनको रूबेनियों, गादियों, और मनश्शेइयोंके आधे गोत्र के ऊपर परमेश्वर के सब कामोंके लिथे, और राजा के सब कामोंके लिथे नियुक्त किया।
