11 And David gave to Solomon his son the design of the porch with its houses, its treasuries, its upper rooms, its inner chambers, and the place for the mercy seat.

12 And the design of all that he had in his heart, namely, of the courts of the house of the LORD, and of all the chambers round about, for the treasuries of the house of God, and for the treasuries of the holy things;

13 And of the divisions of the priests, and of the Levites, and of all the work of the service of the house of the LORD, and of all the vessels of the service of the house of the LORD.

14 And he gave the gold by weight for all the vessels of every service: and the silver by weight for all the vessels of silver, for all the vessels of every manner of service: 

15 And the weight for the golden candlesticks, and their golden lamps, according to the weight of each candlestick and its lamps; and for the silver candlesticks, according to the weight of the candlestick and its lamps, according to the use of each candlestick.

16 And he gave the gold by weight for the tables of shewbread, for each table; and the silver for the silver tables.

17 And the pure gold for the forks, and for the basins, and for the bowls, and for the golden bowls, by weight for each bowl; and for the silver bowls by weight for each bowl.

18 And for the altar of incense, purified gold by weight; and the gold for the pattern of the chariot, even the cherubim that were to spread out their wings, and to cover the ark of the covenant of the LORD. 

19 “All this,” said David, “they have made known to me in writing by the word of the Lord, even all the work of this plan.” 

20 Then David said to Solomon his son, “Be strong and courageous, and do it. Do not be afraid or dismayed, for the Lord God, my God, will be with you; he will not fail you or forsake you until you have finished all the work for the service of the house of the Lord. 

21 And behold, here are the divisions of the priests and Levites for all the service of the house of God. They are also with you for all the work, volunteers with wisdom of all kinds for all the service, as are all the princes and all the people for all your commandments.

11 E deu Davi a Salomão, seu filho, o risco do alpendre com as suas casarias, e as suas tesourarias, e os seus cenáculos, e as suas recâmaras de dentro, como também a casa do propiciatório.

12 E também o risco de tudo quanto tinha no seu ânimo, a saber: Dos átrios da casa do Senhor, e de todas as câmaras em redor, para os tesouros da casa de Deus, e para os tesouros das coisas sagradas.

13 E das turmas dos sacerdotes, e dos levitas, e de toda obra do ministério da casa do Senhor, e de todos os vasos do ministério da casa do Senhor.

14 O ouro deu, segundo o peso do ouro, para todos os vasos de cada ministério: também a prata, por peso, para todos os vasos de prata, para todos os vasos de cada espécie de serviço;

19 Tudo isto, disse Davi, por escrito me deram a entender por mandado do Senhor, a saber, todas as obras deste risco.

20 E disse Davi a Salomão seu filho: esforça-te e tem bom ânimo, e obra; não temas, nem te apavores; porque o Senhor Deus, meu Deus, há de ser contigo; não te deixará, nem te desamparará, até que acabes toda a obra do serviço da casa do Senhor.

21 E eis que aí tens as turmas dos sacerdotes e dos levitas para todo o ministério da casa de Deus: estão também contigo, para toda a obra, voluntários com sabedoria de toda a espécie para todo o ministério; como também todos os príncipes, e todo o povo, para todos os teus mandamentos.

9 और हे मेरे पुत्र सुलैमान, तू अपने पिता के परमेश्वर को पहचान कर खरे मन और प्रसन्न मन से उसकी सेवा कर; क्योंकि प्रभु सब मनों को जांचता है, और मन की सारी कल्पनाओं को समझता है; यदि तू उसकी खोज करेगा, तो वह तुझ से मिल जाएगा; परन्तु यदि तू उसे छोड़ दे, तो वह तुझे सदा के लिये अस्वीकार कर देगा।

10 इसलिये अब देखो, यहोवा ने पवित्रस्थान के लिथे भवन बनाने को तुझे चुन लिया है; कड़ी मेहनत करो और काम करो.

David exhorts the princes and his son Solomon

1 Then David assembled all the princes of Israel in Jerusalem, the princes of the tribes, and the captains of the courses that ministered to the king, and the captains of thousands, and the captains of hundreds, and the rulers of all the substance and possession of the king and his sons, with the eunuchs, and the mighty men, and every mighty man of valor.

2 Then King David stood up and said, "Hear me, my brethren, and my people: I had it in my heart to build a house of rest for the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and for the footstool of our God; and I had prepared to build it.

3 But God said to me, 'You shall not build a house for my name, because you are a man of war, and you have shed much blood.

4 And the Lord, the God of Israel, chose me out of all my father's house to be king over Israel forever; for he chose Judah to be prince, and my father's house out of the house of Judah; and among my father's sons he was pleased to make me king over all Israel.

5 And of all my sons (for the Lord has given me many sons), he chose my son Solomon to sit on the throne of the kingdom of the Lord over Israel.

6 And he said to me, "Your son Solomon will build my house and my courts, for I have chosen him as my son, and I will be his father.

7 And I will establish his kingdom forever, if he continues to follow my commandments and my judgments, as at this day." 8 Now therefore, in the sight of all Israel, the assembly of the Lord, and in the hearing of our God, keep and seek all the commandments of the Lord your God, that you may possess this good land, and leave it for an inheritance to your children after you forever.

9 And you, Solomon, my son, know the God of your father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind. For the Lord searches all hearts and understands all the intents of the thoughts. If you seek him, he will be found of you; but if you forsake him, he will reject you forever.

10 Now therefore, see, for the Lord has chosen you to build a house for the sanctuary; be strong and do the work.

1 Então Davi convocou em Jerusalém todos os príncipes de Israel, os príncipes das tribos, e os capitães das turmas, que serviam o rei, e os capitães, dos milhares, e os capitães das centenas, e os maiorais de toda a fazenda e possessão do rei, e de seus filhos, como também os eunucos e varões, e todo o varão valente.

2E pôs-se o rei Davi em pé, e disse: Ouvi-me, irmãos meus, e povo meu: Em meu coração propus eu edificar uma casa de repouso para a arca do concerto do Senhor e para o escabelo dos pés do nosso Deus, e eu tinha feito o preparo para a edificar.

3 Porém Deus me disse: Não edificarás casa ao meu nome, porque és homem de guerra, e derramaste muito sangue.

4 E o Senhor Deus de Israel escolheu-me de toda a casa de meu pai, para que eternamente fosse rei sobre Israel; porque a Judá escolheu por príncipe, e a casa de meu pai na casa de Judá: e entre os filhos de meu pai se agradou de mim para me fazer rei sobre todo o Israel.

5 E, de todos os meus filhos (porque muitos filhos me deu o Senhor), escolheu ele o meu filho Salomão para se assentar no trono do reino do Senhor sobre Israel.

6 E me disse: Teu filho Salomão, ele edificará a minha casa e os meus átrios, porque o escolhi para filho, e eu lhe serei por pai.

7 E estabelecerei seu reino para sempre, se perseverar em cumprir os meus mandamentos e meus juízos, como até ao dia de hoje.

8 Agora pois, perante os olhos de todo o Israel, a congregação do Senhor, e perante os ouvidos do nosso Deus, guardai e buscai todos os mandamentos do Senhor vosso Deus, para que possuais esta boa terra, e a façais herdar a vossos filhos depois de vós, para sempre.

9 E tu meu filho Salomão, conhece o Deus de teu pai, e serve-o com um coração perfeito e com uma alma voluntária; porque esquadrilha o Senhor todos os corações, e entende todas as imaginações dos pensamentos: se o buscares, será achado de ti; porém, se o deixares, rejeitar-te-á para sempre.

10 Olha pois agora, porque o Senhor te escolheu para edificares uma casa para o santuário; esforça-te e faze a obra.

The Number of the People and the Monthly Divisions

1 These are the sons of Israel according to their number, the heads of the fathers' houses, and the captains of thousands and hundreds, with their officers, who served the king in all the affairs of the divisions, coming and going from month to month, in all the months of the year: each division was twenty-four thousand.

2 Over the first division for the first month was Jashobeam the son of Zabdiel: and in his division were twenty-four thousand.

3 He was of the sons of Perez, chief of all the captains of the armies for the first month.

4 And over the division for the second month was Dodai the Ahohite, and his division, and Mikloth was the captain: and in his division were twenty-four thousand.

15 The twelfth for the twelfth month was Heldiah the Netophathite, of Othiniel; and in his division were twenty-four thousand.

16 And over the tribes of Israel were these: over the Reubenites was Eliezer the son of Zichri; over the Simeonites was Shephatiah the son of Maacah;

17 Over the Levites was Hashabiah the son of Kemuel; over the Aaronites was Zadok; 

18 Over Judah, Elihu, one of David's brothers; over Issachar, Omri the son of Michael; 

19 Over Zebulun, Irmahiah the son of Obadiah; over Naphtali, Jerimoth the son of Azriel; 

20 Over the sons of Ephraim, Hoshea the son of Azaziah; over the half-tribe of Manasseh, Joel the son of Pedaiah; 

21 Over the other half-tribe of Manasseh in Gilead, Iddo the son of Zechariah; over Benjamin, Jaasiel the son of Abner; 

22 Over Dan, Azarel the son of Jeroham; these were the leaders of the tribes of Israel.

 23 But David did not take the number of those twenty years old and under, because the Lord had said that He would multiply Israel as the stars of the sky. 

24 Joab the son of Zeruiah had begun to number them, but he did not finish, because wrath had fallen on Israel because of this; therefore the number was not recorded according to the records of King David.

25 And over the king's treasuries was Azmaveth the son of Adiel; and over the treasuries of the land, of the cities, and of the villages, and of the towers, was Jonathan the son of Uzziah.

26 And over those who worked in the field, in the tillage of the land, was Ezri the son of Chelub.

27 And over the vineyards was Shimei the Ramathite; and over that which was in the treasuries of wine was Zabdi the Shiphmite.

28 And over the olive groves and the sycamore trees that were in the plains was Baal-hanan the Gederite; and over the treasuries of oil was Joash.

 29 And over the cattle that fed in Sharon was Shitrai the Sharonite; and over the cattle of the valleys was Shaphat the son of Adlai; 

30 And over the camels was Obil the Ishmaelite; and over the donkeys was Jediiah the Meronothite;

 31 And over the sheep was Jaziz the Hagarite: all these were rulers of the possession that King David had. 

32 And Jonathan David's uncle was a counselor, a man of understanding, and a scribe; and Jeiel the son of Hachmoni was with the king's sons. 

33 And Ahithophel was on the king's counselor; and Hushai the Archite, the king's friend. 

34 And after Archophel was Jehoiada the son of Benaiah, and Abiathar: and Joab was captain of the king's army.

23 Não tomou porém Davi o número dos de vinte anos e daí para baixo, porquanto o Senhor tinha dito que havia de multiplicar a Israel como as estrelas do céu.

24 Joabe, filho de Zeruia, tinha começado a numerá-los, porém não acabou, porquanto viera por isso grande ira sobre Israel: pelo que o número se não pôs a conta das crônicas do rei Davi.

25 E sobre os tesouros do rei estava Azmavete, filho de Adiel; e sobre os tesouros da terra, das cidades, e das aldeias, e das torres, Jônatas, filho de Uzias.

26 E sobre os que faziam a obra do campo, na lavoura da terra, Ezri, filho de Quelube.

27 E sobre as vinhas, Simei, o ramatita; porém sobre o que das vides entrava nos tesouros do vinho, Zabdi o sifmita.

28 E sobre os olivais e figueiras bravas que havia nas campinas, Baal-Hanã, o gederita: porém Joás sobre os tesouros do azeite.

29 E sobre os gados que pasciam em Sarom, Sitrai, o saronita: porém sobre os gados dos vales, Safate, filho de Adlai.

30 E sobre os camelos, Obil, o ismaelita: e sobre as jumentas, Jedias, o meronotita.

31 E sobre o gado miúdo, Jaziz, o hagarita: todos estes eram maiorais da fazenda que tinha o rei Davi.

The Officers and Judges

Duties of the Gatekeepers

The Role of the Singers in Their Shifts

1 David, together with the captains of the army, set apart for the service the sons of Asaph, Heman, and Jeduthun, to prophesy with harps, lyres, and psalteries. This was the number of men who were able to do the work of their service.

2 Of the sons of Asaph: Zaccur, and Joseph, and Nethaniah, and Asarelah, the sons of Asaph; they were in charge of Asaph, who prophesied under the hand of King David.

3 As for Jeduthun, the sons of Jeduthun were Gedaliah, and Zeri, and Jeshaiah, and Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, six; they were in charge of their father Jeduthun, to play the harps, and he prophesied, praising and giving thanks to the Lord.

Funções dos cantores em seus turnos

 

1 E Davi, juntamente com os capitães do exército, separou para o ministério os filhos de Asafe, e de Hemã, e de jedutum para profetizarem com harpas, com alaúdes, e com saltérios: e este foi o número dos homens aptos para a obra do seu ministério.

2 Dos filhos de Asafe: foram Zacur, e José, e Netanias, e Asarela, filhos de Asafe: a cargo de Asafe, que profetizava debaixo da direção do rei Davi.

3 Quanto a Jedutum, foram os filhos de Jedutum: Gedalias, e Zeri, e Jesaías, e Hasabias, e Matitias, seis, a cargo de seu pai Jedutum, para tanger harpas, o qual profetizava, louvando e dando graças ao Senhor.

4 Quanto a Hemã: os filhos de Hemã: Buquias, Matanias, Uziel, Sebuel, e Jerimote, Hananias, Eliata, Gidalti, e Românti-Ezer, Josbecasa, Maloti, Hotir, e Maaziote.

5 Todos estes filhos de Hemã, o vidente do rei nas palavras de Deus, para exaltar a corneta. Deus dera a Hemã catorze filhos e três filhas.

6 Todos estes estavam ao lado de seu pai para o canto da casa do Senhor, com satérios, alaúdes e harpas, para o ministério da casa de Deus, e, ao lado do rei, Asafe, Jedutum, e Hemã.

7 E era o número deles, juntamente com seus irmãos instruídos no canto do Senhor, todos eles mestres, duzentos e oitenta e oito.

8 E deitaram as sortes acerca da guarda igualmente, assim o pequeno como o grande, o mestre juntamente com o discípulo.

9 Saiu pois a primeira sorte a Asafe, a saber: A José; a segunda a Gedalias; e eram ele, e seus irmãos, e seus filhos, ao todo, doze.

10 A terceira a Zacur, seus filhos, e seus irmãos; doze.

11 A quarta a Izri, seus filhos, e seus irmãos; doze.

12 A quinta a Netanias, seus filhos, e seus irmãos; doze.

13 A sexta a Buquias, seus filhos, e seus irmãos; doze.

14 A sétima a Jesarela, seus filhos e seus irmãos; doze.

15 A oitava a Jesaías, seus filhos, e seus irmãos; doze.

16 A nona a Matanias, seus filhos, e seus irmãos; doze.
