I Kings 2
David gives advice to Solomon and dies
1 And the days of David's death drew near: and he commanded Solomon his son, saying,
2 I go the way of all the earth: strive therefore and be a man.
3 And keep the observance of the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and his testimonies, as it is written in the law of Moses, that thou mayest prosper in whatever you do, wherever you turn.
4 That the Lord might confirm his word, which he spake concerning me, saying, If thy children keep his way, to walk before me faithfully, with all their heart and with all their soul, I said, never shall thee fail successor to the throne of Israel.
5 And you also know what Joab the son of Zeruiah did to me, and what he did to the two commanders of the army of Israel, to Abner the son of Ner and to Amasa the son of Jether, whom he killed, and in peace he poured out the blood of war, and he put the blood of war in his belt that was on his loins, and in his shoes that were on his feet.
6 So do according to your wisdom, and do not let his gray hairs go down to the grave in peace.
7 But with the children of Barzillai the Gileadite you shall show kindness, and they shall be among those who eat at your table, for so they drew near to me, when I fled because of your brother Absalom.
8 And, behold, Shimei the son of Gera, the son of Benjamin, of Bahurim, was with thee also, who cursed me with a grievous curse, in the day that I went to Mahanaim; but he came out to meet me at Jordan, and I swore to him by the Lord, saying that I would not kill him with the sword.
9 But now, do not hold him guiltless, for you are a wise man, and you will know what to do to him to make his gray hairs go down to the grave with blood.
10 And David slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city of David.
11 And these were the days that David reigned over Israel forty years: seven years he reigned in Hebron, and in Jerusalem he reigned thirty-three years.
Salmos 40:01

I Reis 2 Davi dá conselhos a Salomão e morre
I Reis 2
Davi dá conselhos a Salomão e morre

45 और सादोक याजक और नातान नबी ने गीहोन में राजा होने के लिथे उसका अभिषेक किया;
I Kings 01 Solomon is made king
I Kings 01
Solomon is made king
32 And king David said, Call me Zadok the priest, and Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada. And they entered into the presence of the king.
33 And the king said unto them, Take with you the servants of your lord, and have Solomon my son ride upon my mule; and bring him down to Gihon.
34 And Zadok the priest, with Nathan the prophet, shall there anoint him king over Israel: then shall ye blow the trumpet, and shall say, Long live King Solomon!
35 Then shall ye go up after him, and he shall come and sit on my throne, and he shall reign in my stead: for I have commanded him to be a guide over Israel and over Judah.
36 Then Benaiah the son of Jehoiada answered the king, and said, Amen: so saith the Lord God of my lord the king.
37 As the LORD was with my lord the king, so be it with Solomon, and make his throne greater than the throne of my lord king David.
38 Then came down Zadok the priest, and Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and the Cherethites, and the Pelethites, and made Solomon ride on king David's mule, and brought him to Gihon.
39 And Zadok the priest took the vessel of oil from the tabernacle, and anointed Solomon: and they blew the trumpet, and all the people said, Long live Solomon the king!
40 And all the people went up after him, and the people played the pipes, and rejoiced with great joy: so that the earth rang with their cry.
41 And Adonijah heard it, and all the guests that were with him, who had made an end of eating: also Joab heard the sound of the trumpets, and he said, Why is there such a noise in the tumultuous city?
42 While he was still speaking, behold, Jonathan the son of Abiathar the priest came, and Adonijah said, Go in, for you are a mighty man, and you will bring good news.
43 And Jonathan answered and said to Adonijah, Surely our lord king David hath made Solomon king.
44 And the king sent with him Zadok the priest, and Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and the Cherethites, and the Pelethites: and they made him ride on the king's mule.
45 And Zadok the priest, and Nathan the prophet, anointed him king in Gihon;
46 And Solomon also sitteth on the throne of the kingdom.
47 And also the king's servants came to bless our lord King David, saying, Thy God make the name of Solomon to be better than thy name; and make his throne greater than your throne. And the king bowed on the couch.
48 And the king also said thus: Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, who has given him today one to sit on my throne, that my eyes may see him.
49 Then all the guests who were with Adonijah shuddered and arose, and each one went his way.
50 But Adonijah feared Solomon, and arose, and went, and took hold of the horns of the altar.
51 And it was told Solomon, saying, Behold, Adonijah fears king Solomon: for, behold, he hath taken of the horns of the altar, saying, King Solomon swear to me this day, that he will not slay his servant with the sword.
52 And Solomon said, If he be a good man, not one of his hairs shall fall to the ground; but if wickedness is found in him, he shall die.
53 And king Solomon sent, and they brought him down from the altar; and he came and prostrated himself before king Solomon, and Solomon said to him, Go to your house.
I Reis 01 Salomão é constituído rei
I Reis 01
Salomão é constituído rei
32 E disse o rei Davi: Chamai-me a Zadoque, o sacerdote, e a Natã, o profeta, e a Benaia, filho de Joiada. E entraram á presença do rei.
39 E Zadoque, o sacerdote tomou o vaso do azeite do tabernáculo, e ungiu a Salomão: e tocaram a trombeta, e todo o povo disse: Viva o rei Salomão!
43 E respondeu Jônatas, e disse a Adonias: Certamente nosso senhor rei Davi constituiu rei a Salomão.

I Kings 01 David's old age
I Kings 01
David's old age
1 When King David was old, and within days, they covered him with garments, but he was not warm.
2 And her servants said unto him, Let fetch for my lord the king a virgin maiden, that may stand before the king, and take care of him: and let her sleep in her bosom, that my lord the king may be warm.
3 And they sought throughout all the borders of Israel a fair maiden; and they found Abishag the Shunammite, and brought her to the king.
4 And she was the damsel exceedingly beautiful: and she cared for the king, and served him; but the king did not recognize her.
5 Then Adonijah the son of Haggith arose, saying, I will reign. And he prepared chariots, and horsemen, and fifty men, to run before him.
6 And his father had never antagonized him, saying, Why did you do this? And he was also very handsome in appearance, and Haggith had him after Solomon.
7 And he had understanding with Joab the son of Zeruiah, and with Abiathar the priest, who helped him, following Adonijah.
8 But Zadok the priest, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and Nathan the prophet, and Shimei, and King, and the mighty men that David had, were not with Adonijah.
9 And Adonijah slew sheep, and oxen, and barley beasts, at the stone of Zoeleth, which is by the well of Rogel: and he called all his brethren, the king's sons, and all the men of Judah, servants of the king.
10 But Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah, and the mighty men, and Solomon his brother, he did not invite.
11 Then Nathan spoke to Bathsheba, Solomon's mother, saying, Have you not heard that Adonijah the son of Haggith reigns? And what does our lord David not know?
12 So come now, and let me give you advice, that you may save your life, and the life of Solomon your son.
13 Go, and go in unto king David, and say unto him, O my lord king, hast not thou sworn unto thy handmaid, saying, Surely Solomon thy son shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne? Why then does Adonijah reign?
14 Behold, while you are still there talking with the king, I will also come in after you, and finish your words.
15 And Bathsheba entered the king's chamber; and the king was very old: and Abishag the Shunammite ministered to the king.
16 And Bathsheba bowed her head, and prostrated herself before the king: and the king said, What is the matter with you?
17 And she said unto him, My lord, thou hast sworn to thy handmaid by the Lord thy God, saying, Solomon thy son shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne.
18 And now, behold, Adonijah reigns; and now, my lord the king, you do not know it.
19 And he slew kine, and barley beasts, and flocks in abundance, and called all the king's sons, and Abiathar the priest, and Joab the general of the host, but thy servant Solomon he did not invite.
20 But, O my lord king, the eyes of all Israel are upon you, to tell them who shall sit on the throne of my lord the king after him.
21 Otherwise, when my lord the king sleeps with his fathers, I and Solomon my son will be sinners.
22 And while she was still talking with the king, behold, Nathan the prophet came in.
23 And they told the king, saying, Behold, Nathan the prophet. And she went into the presence of the king, and prostrated herself before the king with her face to the ground.
24 And Nathan said, O my lord the king, hast thou said, Adonijah shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne?
25 For he went down today, and killed oxen, and barley beasts, and sheep in abundance, and invited all the king's sons, and the captains of the host, and Abiathar the priest; and, behold, they are eating and drinking before him and say: Long live King Adonijah!
26 But me, your servant, and Zadok the priest, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and Solomon your servant, he did not invite.
27 Was this done by my lord the king? And did you not tell your servant who should sit on the throne of my lord the king after him?
28 And king David answered and said, Call me to Bathsheba. And she went into the presence of the king; and she was standing before the king.
29 Then the king swore and said, As the LORD lives, who has redeemed my soul out of all trouble.
30 That as I swore to you by the LORD God of Israel, saying, Surely Solomon your son shall reign after me, and he shall sit on my throne in my place, so will I do this day.
31 Then Bathsheba bowed with her face to the ground, and prostrated herself before the king, and said, Let my lord king David live forever!
I Reis 01 A velhice de Davi
I Reis 01
28 E respondeu o rei Davi, e disse: Chamai-me a Betseba.

II Samuel 24 The Numbering of the People and the Punishment God Has Sent
II Samuel 24
The Numbering of the People and the Punishment God Has Sent
1 And the anger of the Lord was kindled again against Israel: and he stirred up David against them, saying, Go, number Israel and Judah.
2 So the king said to Joab, commander of the army, which he had with him: Now go around through all the tribes of Israel, from Dan to Beersheba, and number the people, that I may know the number of the people.
3 Then said Joab unto the king, Now let the LORD thy God multiply this people a hundred times as much as they now are, and the eyes of my lord the king may see it: but why does my lord the king desire this matter?
4 But the king's word prevailed against Joab, and against the captains of the host: Joab went out with the captains of the host before the king, to number the people of Israel.
5 And they crossed the Jordan: and they set in the field by Aroer, on the right of the city which is in the midst of the brook Gad, and by Jazer.
6 And they came to Gilead, and to the low country of Hodsi: they also came to Danjaan, and around Sidon.
7 And they came to the fortress of Tyre, and to all the cities of the Hahites and of the Canaanites: and they went out to the south side of Judah, to Beersheba.
8 So they went around the whole land, and at the end of nine months and twenty days they returned to Jerusalem.
9 And Joab gave the king the sum of the number of the people numbered: and there were in Israel eight hundred thousand men of war, that drew the sword; and the men of Judah were five hundred thousand men.
10 And David's heart pained him, after he had numbered the people: and David said unto the Lord, I have sinned greatly in that which I have done: but now, O Lord, I pray thee, put over the iniquity of thy servant; because I have acted very foolishly.
11 When David rose in the morning, the word of the LORD came to the prophet Gad, David's seer, saying,
12 Go and say to David, Thus says the Lord: Three things I offer you; choose one of them, so you can do it.
13 So Gad came to David, and told him; and said unto him, Wilt thou that seven years of famine should come upon thee in thy land; or that for three months you flee before your enemies, and they pursue you; or that for three days there is pestilence in your land? Decide now, and see what answer I shall give to the one who sent me.
14 Then David said to Gad, I am in great distress: but let us fall into the hand of the Lord, for his mercies are many; but into the hands of men do not fall.
15 Then the Lord sent the plague on Israel from the morning until the appointed time: and from Dan to Beersheba, seventy thousand men of the people died.
16 When the angel stretched out his hand over Jerusalem to destroy it, the Lord repented of the evil; and he said to the angel that made destruction among the people, It is enough, now withdraw your hand. And the angel of the Lord was by the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.
17 And when David saw the angel that smote the people, he spoke to the Lord, and said, Behold, I am he that have sinned, and I that have done iniquity; but these sheep what have they done? Let your hand be against me, and against my father's house.
18 And Gad came that same day to David, and said unto him, Go up, build up an altar unto the Lord in the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.
19 David went up according to the word of Gad, as the Lord had commanded him.
20 And Araunah looked, and saw the king and his servants coming towards him; So Araunah went out and bowed down to the king with his face to the ground.
21 And Araunah said, Why does my lord the king come to his servant? And David said, To buy this threshing floor from you, to build an altar to the Lord on it, that this punishment may cease from the people.
22 Then Araunah said to David, Let my lord the king take and offer what is good in his eyes: behold, oxen for the burnt offering, and the threshers, and the equipment of the oxen for the wood.
23 All this Araunah gave to the king. And Araunah said to the king, May the Lord your God take pleasure in you.
24 But the king said to Araunah, I will not buy it for a price, for I will not offer burnt offerings to the Lord my God that cost me nothing. So David bought the threshing floor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.
25 And there David built an altar unto the LORD, and offered burnt offerings, and peace offerings. So the Lord was appeased with the land, and the punishment of Israel was stopped.
II Samuel 24 A numeração do povo e o castigo que Deus enviou
II Samuel 24
A numeração do povo e o castigo que Deus enviou

II Samuel 23 The thirty-seven mighty men that David had
II Samuel 23
The thirty-seven mighty men that David had
8 These are the names of the mighty men that David had: Joseb-Bashebeth, son of Taquemoni, the chief of captains: this was Adino the Snite, who opposed eight hundred, and smote them at once.
9 And after him Eleazar, the son of Dodo, the son of Aoi, among the three mighty men who were with David when they provoked the Philistines who were gathered there to battle, and when the men of Israel went up.
10 He arose, and smote the Philistines, until his hand was weary, and his hand was cleaved to the sword: and that day the Lord wrought a great deliverance; and the people turned back after him, only to take the spoil.
11 And after him Shammah the son of Agee the Hararite, when the Philistines were gathered together in a multitude, where there was a piece of land full of lentils, and the people fled from before the Philistines.
12 So he stood in the midst of that piece of land, and defended it, and smote the Philistines: and the Lord wrought a great deliverance.
13 Also three of the thirty heads went down, and came in the time of harvest to David, to the cave of Adullam: and the multitude of the Philistines encamped in the valley of Rephaim.
14 David was then in a stronghold, and the garrison of the Philistines was then at Bethlehem.
15 And David longed, and said, O that I could drink of the water of the cistern of Bethlehem, which is by the gate!
16 Then those three mighty men broke through the camp of the Philistines, and drew water from the cistern of Bethlehem, which is by the gate, and took it, and brought it to David; but he would not drink it but poured it out before the Lord.
17 And he said, Guard me, O Lord, from doing so; would I drink the blood of men who risked their lives? So I didn't want to drink it: that's what those three brave ones did.
18 Also Abishai, brother of Joab, son of Zuruia, was head of three; and he raised his spear against three hundred, and smote them, and had the name among the three.
19 Was he not the noblest of these three? For he was the first of them; but to the first three it did not arrive.
20 Also Benaiah, son of Joiada, son of a mighty man of Cabseel, great in works, he slew two mighty lions of Moab; and he went down, and smote a lion in the midst of a pit, in the time of snow.
21 He also slew an Egyptian man, a man of honor: and in the Egyptian's hand was a spear, but he went down to him with a staff, and plucked the spear out of the Egyptian's hand, and slew him with his own spear.
22 These things did Banaiah the son of Jehoiada, for which he was named among three mighty men.
23 Of the thirty he was the noblest, yet he did not approach the first three: and David made him over his guards.
24 Asahel, Joab's brother, was among the thirty, who were: Elhanan, son of Dodo, from Bethlehem;
25 Shammah the Harodite, Elika the Harodite;
26 Helles the Palthite, Ira the son of Ichish the Tekoite;
27 Abiezer, an Anotite; Mebunai, Husatite;
28 Zalmon the Ahite; Maarai, Netophatite;
29 Heleb, son of Baena, a Netophathite; Etai, son of Ribai, from Gibeah of the sons of Benjamin;
30 Benaiah, a Pirathonite, Hidai, from the brook Gaash;
31 Abi-Albon the Arbatite, Azmaveth the Barumite;
32 Eliaba the Shaalbonite, the sons of Jashem; and Jonathan;
33 Shammah the Hararite; Ahiam, son of Sarar, Ararite;
34 Eliphelet, son of Asbai, son of a Maacathite; Elião, son of Achitofel, a Gilonite;
35 Hezrai, Carmelite, Paarai, arbite:
36 Igal the son of Nathan, from Zobah, Baní the Dadita;
37 Zelek the Ammonite, Naharai the Beerothite, who bore the weapons of Joab the son of Zeruiah;
38 Wrath, jetrite; Gareb, jetrite;
39 Uriah the Hittite; thirty-seven for all.
II Samuel 23 Os trinta e sete valentes que Davi teve
II Samuel 23

5 चाहे मेरा घराना परमेश्वर के यहां ऐसा न हो, तौभी उस ने मुझ से सदा की वाचा बान्धी है, जो सब बातोंमें आज्ञा और पालन करेगी;
II Samuel 23 David's last words
II Samuel 23
David's last words
1 And these are the last words of David: Says David, son of Jesse, and says the man who was lifted up on high, the anointed of the God of Jacob, and the sweet in psalms of Israel.
2 The spirit of the Lord spoke by me, and his word was in my mouth.
3 The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spoke to me: There shall be a righteous one who rules over men, who rules in the fear of God.
4 And it will be like the light of the morning, when the sun rises, the morning without clouds, when by its brightness and by the rain the grass sprouts on the earth.
5 Though my house is not such with God, yet he hath made an everlasting covenant with me, which shall be ordered and kept in all things;
6 But the children of Belial will all be like thorns that are thrown away, because they cannot be taken with the hand.
7 But whoever touches them shall arm himself with iron and the shaft of a spear; and with fire they will be completely burned in the same place.
II Samuel 23 As últimas palavras de Davi
II Samuel 23

26 भले मनुष्य के साथ तू अपके आप को कृपालु दिखाता है;
42 उन्होंने ढूंढ़ा, परन्तु कोई छुड़ानेवाला न मिला;
II Samuel 22 Song of David in Thanksgiving
II Samuel 22
Song of David in Thanksgiving
1 And David spake unto the LORD the words of this song, in the day that the LORD delivered him out of the hand of all his enemies, and out of the hand of Saul.
2 he said therefore, The Lord is my rock, and my stronghold, and my deliverer.
3 God is my rock I will trust in him: my shield, and the strength of my salvation, my high place, and my refuge. O my savior, from violence you saved me.
4 The Lord, worthy of praise, I invoked, and from my enemies I was delivered.
5 For the waves of death surrounded me: the torrents of Belial terrified me.
6 Ropes of hell bound me; they found me bonds of death.
7 When I was in distress, I called on the Lord, and I cried to my God: He heard my voice from his temple, and my cry reached his ears.
8 Then he shook and the earth shook, the foundations of the heavens moved and shook, because he was angry.
9 Smoke went up from his nostrils, and from his mouth a devouring fire: coals were kindled from him.
10 And he lowered the heavens, and came down: and darkness was under his feet.
11 And he ascended a cherub, and flew: and was seen on the wings of the wind.
12 And for tents he made darkness round about him: a gathering together of waters and clouds of heaven.
13 By the brightness of his presence coals of fire are kindled.
14 The Lord thundered from heaven, and the Most High uttered his voice.
15 And he shot arrows, and dissipated them: thunderbolts, and disturbed them.
16 And the depths of the sea appeared, the foundations of the world were uncovered: by the rebuke of the Lord; by the breath of the wind from their noses.
17 From on high he sent, and took me; he drew me out of many waters.
18 he delivered me from my powerful enemy and from those who hated me, because they were stronger than I.
19 They found me in the day of my calamity: but the Lord was my support.
20 And he drew me out into the open sea, and carried me away; because he took pleasure in me.
21 The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness: according to the cleanness of my hands he rewarded me.
22 For I have kept the ways of the Lord: and I have not wickedly departed from my God.
23 For all his judgments were before me: and I did not deviate from his statutes.
24 But I was sincere before him, and kept myself from iniquity.
25 And the Lord rewarded me according to my righteousness, according to my prayer in his eyes.
26 With a kind man you show yourself kind: with a sincere man you show yourself sincere.
27 With the pure you show yourself pure: but with the perverse you show yourself averse.
28 And the afflicted people thou shalt deliver: but thine eyes are upon the haughty, and thou shalt bring them low.
29 For thou, Lord, art my lamp: and the Lord enlighteneth my darkness.
30 For with you I pass through the midst of a squadron: by my God I jump over a wall.
31 The way of God is perfect, and the word of the Lord refined; and he is the shield of all who trust in him.
32 For who is God but the Lord? And who is a rock but our God?
33 God is my fortress and my strength, and he makes my way clear.
34 He makes my feet like the feet of a deer, and sets me on my heights.
35 Instruct my hands for battle, so that a bow of copper breaks through my arms.
36 Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation, and by thy gentleness thou hast made me great.
37 Thou hast made my steps wide under me, and my toes have not wavered.
38 I pursued my enemies, and defeated them, and never turned back until I consumed them.
39 And I consumed them, and pierced them through, so that they never rose again, but fell under my feet.
40 Because you have girded me with strength for battle, you have brought down those who rose up against me under me.
41 And you gave me the neck of my enemies, of those who hated me, and I destroyed them.
42 They looked, but there was no deliverer: yes, to the Lord, but he did not answer them.
43 Then grind them like the dust of the earth; like the mud of the streets I trod them and dissipated them.
44 Thou hast also delivered me from the strife of my people; you have kept me as the head of the nations; the people that I did not know will serve me.
45 The children of strangers were subject to me; hearing my voice, they obeyed me.
46 The children of strangers have fallen; and having girded themselves, they came out of their enclosures.
47 As the Lord lives, and blessed be my rock; and exalted be God, the rock of my salvation:
48 The God who gives me full vengeance and subdues the peoples under me.
49 And he who brings me out from among my enemies: and you exalt me above those who rise up against me; from the violent man you deliver me.
50 Therefore, O Lord, I will praise you among the nations, and I will sing praises to your name.
51 He is the tower of his king's salvation, and shows kindness to his anointed David, and to his seed forever.
2 Disse pois: O Senhor é o meu rochedo, e o meu lugar forte, e o meu libertador.
3 Deus é o meu rochedo nele confiarei: o meu escudo, e a força de minha salvação, o meu alto retiro, e o meu refúgio. Ó meu salvador, de violência me salvaste.
4 O Senhor, digno de louvor, invoquei, e de meus inimigos fiquei livre.
5 Porque me cercaram as ondas de morte: as torrentes de Belial me assombraram.
6 Cordas do inferno me cingiram; encontraram-me laços de morte.
17 Desde o alto enviou, e me tomou; tirou-me das muitas águas.
21 Recompensou-me o Senhor conforme à minha justiça: conforme a pureza de minhas mãos me retribuiu.
24 Porém fui sincero perante ele e guardei-me da iniqüidade.
29 Porque tu, Senhor, és a minha candeia: e o Senhor esclarece as minhas trevas.
33 Deus é a minha fortaleza e a minha força, e ele perfeitamente desembaraça o meu caminho.
