II Samuel 16 Davi é enganado por Ziba e amaldiçoado por Simei

 II Samuel 16

Deixa-me passar, e lhe tirarei a cabeça.

2 बिहान को अबशालोम उठकर फाटक के मार्ग पर खड़ा हो गया। और ऐसा हुआ कि राजा के पास न्याय के लिए आने वाले प्रत्येक व्यक्ति ने अबशालोम को अपने पास बुलाया, और उससे कहा, तुम किस शहर से हो? और वह कहता है, तेरा दास इस्राएल के गोत्रोंमें से एक है;

II Samuel 15 Absalom's Rebellion and David's Flight

 II Samuel 15

Absalom's Rebellion and David's Flight

1 And it came to pass after this that Absalom had chariots and horses equipped, and fifty men to run before him.

2 Also Absalom arose in the morning, and stood on the way to the gate. And it came to pass that every man who had any demand to come to the king for judgment, called Absalom to him, and said to him, What city are you from? And he saying, One of the tribes of Israel is thy servant;

3 Then Absalom said to him, Look, your affairs are good and right, but you have no one to listen to you from the king.

4 Absalom said more: Ah! I wish I were a judge on earth! that every man who had a demand or a question might come to me, that I might do him justice.

5 It also happened that when anyone approached him to bow down to him, he would stretch out his hand, and take hold of him, and kiss him.

6 And thus did Absalom do to all Israel that came to the king for judgment: thus did Absalom steal the hearts of the men of Israel.

7 And it came to pass at the end of forty years, that Absalom said to the king, Let me go to Hebron to pay my vow which I have vowed to the LORD.

8 For while I was living in Geshur in Syria, your servant took one vow, saying, If the LORD brings me back to Jerusalem again, I will serve the LORD.

9 Then the king said to him, Go in peace. So he got up and went to Hebron.

10 And Absalom sent spies throughout all the tribes of Israel, saying, When ye hear the sound of the trumpets, ye shall say, Absalom reigneth in Hebron.

11 And two hundred invited men from Jerusalem went with Absalom, but they went in their simplicity, because they knew nothing of the matter.

12 And Absalom sent for Ahithophel the Gilonite, from the council of David, to his city of Gilo, while he was sacrificing his sacrifices; and the conspiracy was strengthened, and the people came, and increased with Absalom.

13 Then came a messenger to David, saying, The heart of every one in Israel follows Absalom.

14 And David said to all his servants that were with him in Jerusalem, Arise, and let us flee: for we could not escape from Absalom. Make haste to go, lest he make haste, and overtake us, and cast evil upon us, and smite the city with the edge of the sword.

15 Then the king's servants said to the king, Behold, your servants are here, for whatever the king our lord determines.

16 And the king went out with all his house on foot: but he left ten wives concubines to guard the house.

17 So when the king and all the people had gone out on foot, they stopped in a distant place.

18 And all his servants went with him, and all the Cherethites and all the Pelethites: and all the Gittites, six hundred men that came from Gath on foot, walked before the king.

19 Then the king said to Ittai the Gittite, Why should you go with us also? Go back and stay with the king, for you are a stranger, and you will also return to your place.

20 Yesterday you came, and would I take you with us today? For it is strength for me to go where I can go: go back then, and take your brothers with you again, with kindness and faithfulness.

21 But Ittai answered the king, and said, As the LORD lives, and as my lord the king lives, in the place where my lord the king is, whether for death or for life, there your servant also will surely be.

22 Then David said to Ittai, Come, therefore, and pass on. So Ittai the Gittite passed by, and all his men, and all the children that were with him.

23 And all the land wept with loud voices, and all the people passed by: the king also passed over the brook Kidron, and all the people passed towards the way of the wilderness.

24 Behold, Zadokhai also was, and with him all the Levites that carried the ark of the covenant of God; and they put the ark of God there; and Abiathar went up, until all the people had left the city.

25 Then the king said to Zadok, Bring back the ark of God into the city; that if he find favor in the eyes of the Lord, he will bring me there again, and let me see her and her dwelling place.

26 But if I say thus: I have no pleasure in thee; here I am, make me as seems right in your eyes.

27 And the king said moreover to Zadok the priest, Art not thou the seer? therefore return to the city in peace, and your two sons also with you, Ahimaaz your son, and Jonathan the son of Abiathar.

28 Behold, I will stay in the plains of the desert until I have news of you.

29 So Zodak and Abiathar brought back the ark of God to Jerusalem, and they remained there.

30 And David went up by the ascent of the Olives, going up and weeping, and with his head covered; and walked barefoot; and all the people that went with him each covered his head. and they went up crying without ceasing.

31 Then it was made known to David, saying, Ahithophel also is among those who conspired with Absalom. Wherefore David said, O Lord, overthrow the counsel of Aquithophel.

32 And it came to pass, when David had come to the top, to worship God there, behold, Hushai the Archite came to meet him, with his garment torn and dirt on his head.

33 And David said to him, If you pass by with me, you will be a burden to me.

34 But if thou return to the city, and say to Absalom, I will be thy servant, O king; as I was once your father's servant, so now will I be your servant: then you will tell me the advice of Aquithophel.

35 And are not Zadok and Abiathar the priests there with you? And it shall be that all things which thou hearest in the king's house thou shalt make known to me to Zadok and to Abiathar the priests.

36 Behold, their two sons are also there with them, Ahimaaz the son of Zadok, and Jonathan the son of Abiathar: by their hand ye shall send me word of all things that ye shall hear.

37 So Hushai a friend of David came into the city: and Absalom entered Jerusalem.

II Samuel 15 A rebelião de Absalão e a fuga de Davi

 II Samuel 15

2 Também Absalão se levantou pela manhã, e parava uma banda do caminho da porta. E sucedia que a todo homem que tinha alguma demanda para vir ao rei a juízo, o chamava Absalão a si e lhe dizia: De que cidade és tu? E dizendo ele: Duma das tribos de Israel é teu servo;

20 Ontem, vieste, e te levaria eu hoje conosco a caminhar?

22 Então Davi disse a Itai: Vem pois e passa adiante.

33 E disse-lhe Davi: Se passares comigo, ser-me-ás pesado.

19 राजा ने कहा, क्या यह सच नहीं कि इन सब बातोंमें योआब का हाथ तेरे संग चलता है? और उस स्त्री ने उत्तर दिया, हे मेरे प्रभु राजा, तेरे प्राण की शपथ, कि जो कुछ मेरे प्रभु राजा ने कहा है, उस सब से कोई न दहिनी और न बाईं ओर मुड़ सकेगा; क्योंकि तेरे दास योआब ने मुझे यह आज्ञा दी या, जिस ने तेरी दासी के मुंह में ये सब बातें कहीं;

2 Samuel 14

 2 Samuel 14

1 Now when Joab the son of Zeruiah knew that the king's heart was toward Absalom,

2 Joab sent to Tekoa, and took a wise woman from there, and said to her, Now pretend that you are disgusted; put on mourning garments, and do not anoint yourself with oil, and be like a woman who has been in disgust for a dead man for many days.

3 And go in to the king, and speak to him according to this word. And Joab put the words in his mouth.

4 And the Tekoite woman spoke to the king, and lying down with her face to the ground, she fell down and said, Save me, O king.

5 And the king said to him, What have you? And she said, Verily I am a widow, and my husband is dead.

6 So your maidservant had two sons, and both of them quarreled in the field, and there was no one to separate them: so the one smote the other, and killed him.

7 And behold, all the lineage rose up against thy handmaid, and they said, Give us him that smote his brother, that we may slay him, for the life of his brother whom he slew, and that we may destroy the heir also. In this way they will extinguish the coal that is left to me, so that they will not leave my husband's name, nor any rest on earth.

8 And the king said to the woman, Go to your house, and I will command about you.

9 And the Tekoite woman said unto the king, Iniquity, my lord the king, come upon me, and upon my father's house: and the king and his throne shall be blameless.

10 And the king said, Whoever speaks against you, bring him to me, and he will never touch you again.

11 And she said, Now let the king remember the LORD his God, lest the avengers of blood multiply and destroy us, and destroy my son. Then he said, As the Lord lives, not one of your son's hairs will fall to the ground.

12 Then said the woman, I pray thee, let thy handmaid speak a word to my lord the king. And he said: Speak.

13 And the woman said, Why then hast thou thought such a thing against the people of God? For when the king speaks such a word, he is guilty; since the king does not bring back his exile.

14 For we shall surely die, and we shall be as waters spilled upon the earth, which are not gathered any more: God shall not take away his life, but he will devise thoughts, lest his outcast be banished from him.

15 And if I have now come to speak this word to the king, my lord, it is because the people have terrified me: therefore thy handmaid said, I will therefore speak to the king; perhaps the king will do according to the word of his handmaid.

16 For the king will hear, to deliver his handmaiden from the hand of the man who seeks to destroy me and my son together from the inheritance of God.

17 And thy handmaid said, Let now the word of my lord the king be for rest: for as an angel of God, so is my lord the king, to hear good and evil; and the Lord your God will be with you.

18 Then answered the king, and said to the woman, I pray thee, do not hide what I ask of thee. And the woman said, Now speak the king, my lord.

19 And the king said, Is it not true that the hand of Joab walks with you in all this? And the woman answered and said, As your soul lives, my lord the king, that no one will be able to turn aside, either to the right or to the left, from all that my lord the king has said; for your servant Joab commanded me, and it was he who put all these words in your maidservant's mouth:

20 Let me turn the shape of this business; Joab thy servant did this; but my lord is wise, according to the wisdom of an angel of God, to understand everything on earth.

21 Then the king said to Joab, Behold, I have done this: go therefore, and bring back the young man Absalom.

22 Then Joab fell on his face to the ground, and bowed down, and thanked the king; And Joab said, Today your servant has known that I have found favor in your sight, my lord the king, because the king has done according to the word of your servant.

23 So Joab arose, and went to Geshur, and brought Absalom to Jerusalem.

24 And the king said, Return to your house, and see not my face. So Absalom returned to his house, and did not see the king's face.

25 But there was not in all Israel a man so beautiful and so pleasant as Absalom; from the sole of his foot to his head there was no defect in him.

26 And when he sheared his head (and it happened that at the end of each year he sheared it, because it weighed heavily on him, and therefore he sheared it), the hair of his head weighed two hundred cycles, according to the real weight.

27 Also to Absalom were born three sons and a daughter, whose name was Tamar; and this was a woman beautiful to look at.

28 So Absalom remained in Jerusalem two whole years, and he did not see the king's face.

29 So Absalom sent for Joab to send him to the king; but would not come to him; and he sent again the second time, and yet he would not come.

30 Then he said to his servants, You see Joab's piece of field there attached to mine, and it has barley in it; go and set it on fire. And Absalom's servants set the piece of field on fire.

31 Then Joab arose and came to Absalom in the house, and said to him, Why have your servants set fire to my piece of field?

32 And Absalom said to Joab, Behold, I have sent you, saying, Come hither, that I may send you to the king, to say to him, Why have I come from Geshur? I'd better be still there. Now therefore let me see the king's face: and if there is still any guilt in me, let him kill me.

33 Then Joab went in to the king, and he told him so. Then he called for Absalom, and he went in to the king, and bowed himself on his face to the ground before the king: and the king kissed Absalom.

II Samuel 14

 II Samuel 14

5 E disse-lhe o rei: Que tens?

Melhor me fora estar ainda lé.

2 Samuel 13 Absalom flees to Talmai and after three years returns to Jerusalem

 2 Samuel 13

Absalom flees to Talmai and after three years returns to Jerusalem

37 So Absalom fled, and went to Talmai the son of Amiur king of Geshur. And David felt sorry for his son all those days.

38 So Absalom fled, and went to Geshur: he was there three years.

39 Then king David longed for Absalom: for he was already comforted about Amnon, who was dead.

2 Samuel 13 Absalom kills Amon

 2 Samuel 13

Absalom kills Amon

23 And it came to pass, after two whole years had passed, that Absalom had shearers in Balazor, which is by Ephraim: and he invited Absalom to all the king's sons.

24 And Absalom came to the king, and said, Behold, thy servant hath shearers: I pray that the king and his servants may come with thy servant.

25 But the king said to Absalom, No, my son, let us not all go together, lest we be burdensome to you. And urged him; but he would not go, but blessed him.

26 And Absalom said, If not, let Amon, my brother, go with us. But the king said to him, Why would I go with you?

27 And when Absalom urged him, he left Ammon with him, and all the king's sons.

28 And Absalom commanded his servants, saying, Take note; when the heart of Ammon is glad of the wine, and I say to you, Smite Ammon, then ye shall kill him; fear not; is it not I who commanded you? Strive, and be valiant.

29 And Absalom's young men did to Amon as Absalom had commanded him. Then all the king's sons arose, and mounted each one on his mule, and fled.

30 And it came to pass, while they were still on the way, that the news came to David, that it was said, Absalom smote all the king's sons, and none of them remained.

31 Then the king arose, and tore his garments, and fell to the ground: in like manner all his servants were in torn garments.

32 But Jonadab the son of Shimea, David's brother, answered and said, Do not tell my lord that they have slain all the young men of the king, because Amnon alone died: for thus had Absalom resolved to do, from the day that he forced Tamar her sister.

33 Therefore let not this thing now enter into the heart of my lord the king, saying, All the king's sons are dead: for Amnon alone is dead.

34 And Absalom fled: and the young man that was on guard lifted up his eyes, and looked; and, behold, many people were coming by the way behind him, on the side of the mountain.

35 And Jonadab said unto the king, Behold, the king's sons come: according to the word of thy servant, so it is.

36 And it came to pass, when he had finished speaking, that the king's sons came, and lifted up their voice, and wept: and also the king and all his servants wept with a very great weeping.

II Samuel 13 Absalão mata Amom

 II Samuel 13

2 Samuel 13 Ammon loves Tamar and commits incest

 2 Samuel 13

Ammon loves Tamar and commits incest

1 And it came to pass after this, that when Absalom the son of David had a beautiful sister, whose name was Tamar, Ammon the son of David loved her.

2 And Amon was distressed, until he was sick, for Tamar, her sister, because she was a virgin: and it seemed in the eyes of Amon it was difficult to do anything to her.

3 But Amon had a friend, whose name was Jonadab the son of Shimea, the brother of David: and Jonadab was a very sagacious man.

4 Who said to him, Why do you grow thin every morning, being the king's son? will you not let me know? And Amon said to him, I love Tamar, the sister of my brother Absalom,

5 And Jonadab said to him, Lie down on your bed, and pretend to be sick: and when your father comes to visit you, say to him, I pray thee, my sister Tamar, come, and feed me bread, and prepare food before my eyes, that I may see it and eat it from your hand.

6 So Amon lay down, and pretended to be sick; and when the king came to visit him, Amon said to the king, I pray thee, let my sister Tamar come, and prepare two cakes before my eyes, that I may eat from her hand.

7 Then David sent home to Tamar, saying, Go to the house of Amon your brother, and make him some food.

8 And Tamar went to the house of Amon her brother (but he was lying down), and took dough, and kneaded it, and made cakes before their eyes, and baked the cakes.

9 And he took the pan, and brought them out before him; but he refused to eat. And Amon said, Bring them all out of my presence. And everyone withdrew from him.

10 Then said Amon to Tamar, Bring the food into the chamber, and I will eat it out of your hand. And Tamar took the cakes which she had made, and brought them to her brother Amon into the chamber.

11 And when he came to them, that he might eat, he took her, and said to her, Come, lie with me, my sister.

12 But she said to him, No, my brother, do not force me, for it is not so in Israel; do not do such madness.

13 For where would I go with my shame? And you would be like one of the fools of Israel. Now therefore, I beseech thee, speak to the king, for he will not deny me to thee.

14 But he would not listen to her voice; rather, being stronger than she, he forced her, and lay with her.

15 Then Amon annoyed her with great annoyance, because greater was the annoyance with which he hated than the love with which he had loved her. And Amon said to him, Arise and go.

16 Then she said to him: There is no reason for you to send me away like this; greater would this evil be than the one you have already done to me. But he would not listen to him.

17 And he called his servant who served him, and said, Cast this one out, and shut the door after her.

18 And she had on a garment of many colors (for that is how the virgin daughters of kings were dressed, with cloaks), and her servant threw it away, and closed the door after her.

19 Then Tamar took ashes on her head, and the garment of many colors that she was wearing tore: and she laid her hands on her head, and went walking and crying.

20 And Absalom her brother said to her, Was Amon your brother with you? Well of course; my sister, shut up; he is your brother. Let not your heart grieve over this. So was Tamar, and she was lonely in the house of Absalom her brother.

21 And when king David heard all these things, much was kindled in anger.

22 But Absalom did not speak to Amon, either bad or good; for Absalom hated Amon, because he forced his sister Tamar.

II Samuel 13 Amom ama Tamar e comete um incesto

 II Samuel 13

2 धनवान के पास बहुत भेड़-बकरियां और गाय-बैल थे;

2 Samuel 12 Nathan the prophet rebukes David

 2 Samuel 12

Nathan the prophet rebukes David

1 And the LORD sent Nathan to David: and when he came in to David, he said to him, There were two men in a city, the one rich and the other poor.

2 The rich man had very many sheep and herds;

3 But the poor man had nothing, but a little ewe lamb which he had bought and reared; and she had grown up with him and his children alike; of her morsel he ate, and of her cup he drank, and he slept in her bosom, and had her as his daughter.

4 And when a traveler came to the rich man, he failed to take of his own sheep and of his herds to stew for the traveler that came to him: and he took the poor man's lamb, and prepared it for the man that came to him.

5 Then David's wrath was kindled against that man, and he said to Nathan, As the LORD lives, the man who did this is worthy of death.

6 And for the lamb he will give fourfold again, because he did this thing, and because he had no mercy.

7 Then Nathan said to David, You are that man. Thus says the Lord God of Israel: I have anointed you king over Israel, and I have delivered you out of the hand of Saul,

8 And I have given you your lord's house, and your lord's wives into your bosom, and I have also given you the house of Israel and Judah, and this is little, but I would add to you such and such things.

9 Why then; hast thou despised the word of the LORD, doing evil in his sight? You smote Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and you took his wife for your wife; and him you slew with the sword of the children of Ammon.

10 Now therefore the sword shall never depart thee from thine house, because thou hast despised me, and hast taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite, to be thy wife.

11 Thus saith the LORD: Behold, I will raise up evil upon thee out of thine own house, and I will take thy wives before thine eyes, and give them to thy neighbour, who shall lie with thy wives before this sun.

12 For thou hast done it in secret, but I will do this thing before all Israel and before the sun.

13 Then David said to Nathan, I have sinned against the LORD. And Nathan said unto David, The LORD also hath put away thy sin; thou shalt not die.

14 But because of this deed of this place, which the enemies of the Lord blaspheme, even the son that is born to you will surely die.

15 Then Nathan went to his house; and the Lord smote the child that Uriah's wife had borne to David, and he was grievously sick.

16 And David sought God for the child, and David fasted, and went in, and spent the night prostrate on the earth:

17 Then the elders of his house rose up and came to him to raise him up from the earth; but he would not, and did not eat bread with them.

18 And it came to pass on the seventh day that the child died: and the servants of David were afraid to say to him that the child was dead, for they said, Behold, while the child was yet alive, we spoke to him, but he would not hearken to our voice; how then shall we tell him that the child is dead? Because it would hurt you more.

19 But when David saw that his servants were speaking in a low voice, and David understood that the child was dead, therefore David said to his servants, Is the child dead? And they said: It is dead.

20 Then David arose from the ground, and washed, and anointed himself, and changed his raiment, and entered the house of the LORD, and worshiped: then he came to his house, and asked for bread; and they gave him bread, and he ate.

21 And his servants said to him, What is this that you have done? For the living child you fasted and wept; but after the child died you rose and ate bread.

22 And he said, While the child was yet alive, I fasted and wept, for I said, Who knows whether the Lord will have mercy on me, and let the child live?

23 But now that it is dead, why should I fast now? Can I make her come back anymore? I will go to her, but she will not return to me.

24 And David comforted her wife Beth-sheba, and went in to her, and lay with her: and she had a son, and called his name Solomon: and the LORD loved him.

25 And he sent by the hand of the prophet Nathan, and he called his name Jedidjah, for the Lord's sake.

26 Meanwhile Joab fought against Rabbah, of the children of Ammon, and took the royal city.

27 Then Joab sent messengers to David, and said, I fought with Rabbah, and I also took the cities of the waters.

28 Now gather the rest of the people around the city, and take it, lest when I take the city, my name will not be called over it.

29 Then David gathered all the people and went to Rabbah, and fought against it, and took it.

30 And he took the crown off his king's head, the weight of which was a talent of gold, and there were precious stones in it, and it was placed on David's head: and he took very great spoil of the city.

31 And when he had brought the people that were in it, he put them to saws, and to iron chisels, and to iron axes, and put them through a brick oven; and so he did to all the cities of the children of Ammon: and David and all the people returned to Jerusalem.

II Samuel 12 Natã, o profeta, repreende Davi

 II Samuel 12

2 O rico tinha muitíssimas ovelhas e vacas;
