दाऊद ने व्यभिचार और हत्या की

1 और जब राजाओं के निकलते समय एक वर्ष बीत गया, तब दाऊद ने योआब और उसके कर्मचारियोंको और सब इस्राएलियोंको भेज दिया, कि वे अम्मोनियोंको नाश करें, और रब्बा को घेर लें; परन्तु दाऊद यरूशलेम में रहा।

2 और सांफ को ऐसा हुआ कि दाऊद अपके बिछौने पर से उठा, और राजभवन की छत पर टहल रहा या, और उस ने छत पर से जो अपने आप को धो रही थी, एक स्त्री देखी; और वह स्त्री देखने में अति सुन्दर थी।

3 तब दाऊद ने उस स्त्री को बुलवा भेजा, और उन्होंने कहा, क्या यह हित्ती ऊरिय्याह की पत्नी एलीआम की बेटी बतशेबा नहीं है?

4 तब दाऊद ने दूतोंको भेजकर उसको बुलवा भेजा, कि वह उसके पास भीतर गई, और उसके साथ लेट गई (और वह अपक्की मलिनता से शुद्ध हो गई), तब वह अपके घर लौट गई।

5 और वह स्त्री गर्भवती हुई; और उस ने भेजकर दाऊद को प्रगट किया, और कहा, मैं भारी हूं।

10 और उन्होंने दाऊद से कहा, ऊरिय्याह अपके घर न गया। तब दाऊद ने ऊरिय्याह से कहा, क्या तू यात्रा से नहीं आता? तुम अपने घर क्यों नहीं गए?

11 ऊरिय्याह ने दाऊद से कहा, सन्दूक और इस्राएल और यहूदा अपने डेरोंमें हैं; और मेरे प्रभु योआब और मेरे प्रभु के सेवकों ने मैदान में डेरे खड़े किए हैं; और क्या मैं अपके घर में खाने-पीने, और अपक्की पत्नी के संग सोने को जाऊं? तेरे जीवन के लिए, और तेरी आत्मा के जीवन के लिए, मैं ऐसा कुछ नहीं करूंगा।

12 तब दाऊद ने ऊरिय्याह से कहा, आज यहीं ठहर, और कल मैं तुझे विदा करूंगा। ऊरिय्याह उस दिन और अगले दिन यरूशलेम में रहा।

13 दाऊद ने उसको न्यौता दिया, और उस ने उसके साम्हने खाया पिया, और उसको मतवाला किया; और सांफ को वह अपके प्रभु के कर्मचारियोंके संग अपके बिछौने पर लेटने को निकला; परन्तु वह अपके घर न गया।

14 बिहान को दाऊद ने योआब को एक चिट्ठी लिखकर ऊरिय्याह के हाथ से भेजी।

15 उस ने चिट्ठी में लिखा, ऊरिय्याह को युद्ध के सबसे बड़े बल के साम्हने खड़ा कर; और उसके पीछे से हट जाओ, कि वह घायल होकर मर जाए।

16 जब योआब ने नगर को अच्छी रीति से देख लिया, तब उस ने ऊरिय्याह को उस स्यान में रखा, जहां वह जानता था, कि शूरवीर हैं।

17 और जब वे पुरूष नगर से निकलकर योआब से लड़ने लगे, तब दाऊद के दासोंमें से कितने लोग मारे गए, और हित्ती ऊरिय्याह भी मर गया।

18 तब उस ने योआब को भेजकर दाऊद को उस युद्ध का सब काम बता दिया।

19 और उस ने दूत को यह आज्ञा दी, कि जब तू राजा को इस युद्ध का सब काम पूरा कर चुका;

20 और जब राजा क्रोधित होकर तुझ से कहे, कि तू लड़ने को नगर के इतने निकट क्यों आया है? क्या आप नहीं जानते थे कि आप दीवार से फेंक देंगे?

21 यरूबेसेत के पुत्र अबीमेलेक को किसने मारा? क्या किसी स्त्री ने उस पर चक्की के पाट का एक टुकड़ा उस शहरपनाह पर से नहीं फेंका, जिस से वह तेबेस में मरा? आप दीवार पर क्यों आए? तब तू कहना, तेरा दास हित्ती ऊरिय्याह भी मर गया।

22 तब दूत ने जाकर भीतर जाकर जो कुछ योआब ने उसे भेजा या, वह सब दाऊद को बता दिया।

25 तब दाऊद ने दूत से कहा, तू योआब से योंकहना, कि यह तेरी दृष्टि में बुरा न लगे; क्‍योंकि तलवार उसको भी भस्म कर देती है; नगर से युद्ध करके हार मानो; इसी प्रकार उसका उत्‍सव करो।

26 जब ऊरिय्याह की पत्नी ने सुना कि उसका पति ऊरिय्याह मारा गया है, तब वह अपने स्वामी के पास विलाप करने लगी।

27 और जब उसे घिन हुई, तब उस ने दाऊद को अपके घर में बटोरने के लिथे भेजा, और वह उसकी पत्नी या, और उस से उसके एक पुत्र उत्पन्न हुआ। परन्तु जो काम दाऊद ने किया वह यहोवा की दृष्टि में बुरा लगा।

David commits adultery and murder

1 And it came to pass, when a year had passed, in the time that kings went out, that David sent Joab and his servants with him, and all Israel, that they might destroy the children of Ammon, and besiege Rabbah; but David stayed in Jerusalem.

2 And it came to pass in the evening that David arose from his bed, and was walking on the roof of the royal house, and he saw a woman from the terrace that was washing herself: and this woman was very fair to look upon.

3 And David sent, and asked for that woman, and they said, Is not this Bathsheba the daughter of Eliam, the wife of Uriah the Hittite?

4 Then David sent messengers, and sent for her to fetch: and she went in to him, and lay with her (and she was already cleansed from her filthiness): and she returned to her house.

5 And the woman conceived; and she sent, and told David, and said, I am heavy.

6 Then David sent to Joab, saying, Send me Uriah the Hittite. And Joab sent Uriah to David.

7 When Uriah came to him, David asked how Joab was, and how the people were, and how the war was going.

8 And David said to Uriah, Go down to your house, and wash your feet. And Uriah, leaving the royal house, soon followed after him, the king's delicacy.

9 But Uriah lay down at the door of the royal house, with all his lord's servants: and did not go down to his house.

10 And they told David, saying, Uriah went not down to his house. Then said David to Uriah: Do you not come from a journey? why didn't you go down to your house?

11 And Uriah said to David, The ark, and Israel, and Judah are in tents; and Joab my lord and my lord's servants are encamped in the field; and shall I go into my house, to eat and drink, and to lie down with my wife? For your life, and for the life of your soul, I will do no such thing.

12 Then David said to Uriah, Stay here today, and tomorrow I will send you away. Uriah for remained in Jerusalem that day and the next.

13 David invited him, and he ate and drank before him, and he made him drunk: and in the evening he went out to lie down on his bed with his lord's servants; but he did not go down to his house.

14 And it came to pass in the morning that David wrote a letter to Joab: and he sent it by the hand of Uriah.

15 He Wrote in the letter saying: Set a, Uriah before the greatest strength of the battle; and withdraw from behind him that he may be wounded and die.

16 So it came to pass, when Joab had observed the city well, that he put Uriah in the place where he knew that there were mighty men.

17 And when the men went out of the city, and fought with Joab, some of the people of David's servants fell: and Uriah the Hittite also died.

18 So he sent Joab, and told David all the success of that battle.

19 And he commanded the messenger, saying, When you have finished telling the king all the success of this battle;

20 And when the king should be angry, and say unto thee, Why have ye come so near to the city to fight? Did you not know that you would throw from the wall?

21 Who smote Abimelech the son of Jerubeseth? Didn't a woman throw a piece of a millstone on him from the wall, from which he died in Tebez? Why did you come to the wall? Then shalt thou say, Thy servant Uriah the Hittite is dead also.

22 And the messenger went, and went in, and told David all that Joab had sent him.

23 And the messenger said to David, Verily those men were mightier than we were, and they came out to us in the field: but we went against them even to the entrance of the gate.

24 Then the archers shot at thy servants from the top of the wall, and some of the king's servants died: and thy servant Uriah the Hittite died also.

25 And David said to the messenger, Thus shalt thou say to Joab, Let it not seem evil to thy sight; for the sword consumes this as well as that: strive thy battle against the city, and defeat: exert it thou thus.

26 When Uriah's wife heard that Uriah her husband was slain, she lamented to her lord.

27 And when he was disgusted, he sent David to gather her into his house, and she was his wife, and she bore him a son. But this thing that David did looked bad in the eyes of the Lord.

1 E aconteceu que, tendo decorrido um ano, no tempo em que os reis saem, enviou Davi a Joabe e a seus servos com ele, e a todo o Israel, para que destruíssem os filhos de Amom e cercassem a Rabá; porém Davi ficou em Jerusalém.

2 E aconteceu à hora da tarde que Davi se levantou do seu leito, e andava passeando no terraço da casa real, e viu do terraço a uma mulher que se estava lavando: e era esta mulher mui formosa à vista.

3 E enviou Davi, e perguntou por aquela mulher, e disseram: Porventura não é esta Batseba, filha de Eliã, mulher de Urias, o heteu?

4 Então enviou Davi mensageiros, e a mandou trazer: e entrando ela a ele, se deitou com ela ( e já ela se tinha purificado da sua imundície): então voltou ela para a sua casa.

5 E a mulher concebeu; e enviou, e fê-lo saber a Davi, e disse: Pejada estou.

6 Então enviou Davi a Joabe, dizendo: Envia-me Urias o heteu. E Joabe enviou Urias a Davi.

7 Vindo pois Urias a ele, perguntou Davi como ficava Joabe, e como ficava o povo e como ia a guerra.

8 Depois disse Davi a Urias: Desce a tua casa, e lava os teus pés. E, saindo Urias da casa real, logo saiu atrás dele iguaria do rei.

9 Porém Urias se deitou à porta da casa real, com todos os servos de seu senhor: e não desceu à sua casa.

10 E o fizeram a saber a Davi, dizendo: Urias não desceu à sua casa. Então disse Davi a Urias: Não vens tu de uma jornada? por que não desceste a tua casa?

11 E disse Urias a Davi: A arca, e Israel, e Judá ficam em tendas; e Joabe meu senhor e os servos de meu senhor estão acampados no campo; e hei de eu entrar na minha casa, para comer e beber, e para me deitar com a minha mulher? Pela tua vida, e pela vida da tua alma, não farei tal coisa.

12 Então disse Davi a Urias: Fica cá ainda hoje, e amanhã te despedirei. Urias pois ficou em Jerusalém aquele dia e o seguinte.

13 Davi o convidou, e comeu e bebeu diante dele, e o embebedou: e à tarde saiu a deitar-se na sua cama com os servos de seu senhor; porém não desceu a sua casa.

14 E sucedeu que pela manhã Davi escreveu uma carta a Joabe: e mandou-lha por mão de Urias.

15 Escreveu na carta dizendo: Ponde a,Urias na frente da maior força da peleja; e retirai-vos de detrás dele para que seja ferido e morra.

16 Aconteceu pois que, tendo Joabe observado bem a cidade, pôs Urias no lugar onde sabia que havia homens valentes.

17 E, saindo os homens da cidade, e pelejando com Joabe, caíram alguns do povo, dos servos de Davi: e morreu também Urias o heteu.

18 Então enviou Joabe, e fez saber a Davi todo o sucesso daquela peleja.

19 E deu ordem ao mensageiro dizendo: Acabando tu de contar ao rei todo o sucesso desta peleja;

20 E sucedendo que o rei se encolerize, e te diga: Por que vos chegastes tão perto da cidade a pelejar?  Não sabíeis vós que haviam de atirar do muro?

21 Quem feriu a Abimeleque, filho de Jerubesete? Não lançou uma mulher sobre ele do muro um pedaço de uma mó corredora, de que morreu em Tebez? Por que vos chegastes ao muro? Então dirás: Também morreu teu servo Urias, o heteu.

22 E foi o mensageiro, e entrou e fez saber a Davi tudo, para que Joabe o enviara.

23 E disse o mensageiro a Davi: Na verdade que mais poderosos foram aqueles homens do que nós, e saíram a nós no campo: porém nós fomos contra eles até à entrada da porta.

24 Então os flecheiros atiraram contra os teus servos desde o alto do muro, e morreram alguns dos servos do rei: e também morreu o teu servo Urias, o heteu.

25 E disse Davi ao mensageiro: Assim dirás a Joabe: Não te pareça isto mal aos teus olhos; pois a espada tanto consome este como aquele: esforça a tua peleja contra a cidade, e a derrota: esforça-o tu assim.

26 Ouvindo pois a mulher de Urias que Urias seu marido era morto, lamentou a seu senhor.

27 E, passando o nojo, enviou Davi, e a recolher em sua casa, e lhe foi por mulher, e ela lhe deu um filho. Porém esta coisa que Davi fez pareceu mal aos olhos do Senhor.

2 तब दाऊद ने कहा, मैं नाश के पुत्र हानून पर जैसा करूणा करता हूं, वैसा ही उसके पिता ने मुझ पर किया। और उस ने दाऊद को अपके पिता के विषय में अपके दासोंकी सेवकाई के द्वारा उसको शान्ति देने को भेजा; और दाऊद के कर्मचारी अम्मोनियोंके देश में आए।

3 तब अम्मोनियोंके हाकिमोंने अपके स्वामी हानून से कहा, क्या दाऊद तेरी दृष्टि में तेरे पिता का आदर करता है, क्योंकि उस ने शान्ति देनेवाले भेजे हैं? क्या दाऊद ने अपके दासोंको तेरे पास इस नगर को पहचानने, और उसका भेद लेने, और उसको उलट देने को नहीं भेजा था?

4 तब हानून ने दाऊद के कर्मचारियोंको ले लिया, और उनकी आधी दाढ़ी मुंडवा दी, और उनके आधे वस्त्र कमर तक काट दिए, और उन्हें विदा कर दिया।

5 जिस ने दाऊद को प्रगट किया, उस ने उनको ढूंढ़ने को भेजा, क्योंकि वे लोग बहुत लज्जित हुए; और राजा ने कहा, जब तक तेरी दाढ़ी फिर न बढ़ जाए, तब तक यरीहो में रहो; और फिर आओ।

7 और दाऊद ने सुनकर योआब और सारी शक्‍तिशाली सेना को भेज दिया।

8 और अम्मोनियोंने निकलकर फाटक के द्वार पर लड़ाई की आज्ञा दी; परन्तु सोबा और रेश के अरामी, और तोब और माका के लोग मैदान में अलग-अलग थे।

9 जब योआब ने देखा, कि उसके विरुद्ध युद्ध का मोर्चा तैयार किया गया है, तो उस ने इस्राएल के सब चुने हुओं में से चुनकर अरामियोंके साम्हने उन्हें गढ़ा।

10 और शेष लोगों ने अपके भाई अबीशै के वश में कर दिया, जिसे उन्होंने अम्मोनियोंके साम्हने गढ़ा था।

11 उस ने कहा, यदि अरामी मुझ से अधिक बलवान हों, तो तू मेरी सहायता के लिथे आना; और यदि अम्मोनी तुझ से बलवन्त हों, तो मैं तेरी सहायता के लिथे आऊंगा।

12 सो हियाव बान्ध, और हम अपक्की प्रजा और अपके परमेश्वर के नगरोंके लिथे बलवन्त हों; और यहोवा वही करे जो उसकी दृष्टि में अच्छा लगे।

13 तब योआब और उसके संग के लोग अरामियोंसे लड़ने के लिथे समीप आए; और उसके सामने से भाग गया।

14 और जब अम्मोनियोंने देखा, कि अरामी भाग गए हैं, तब वे भी अबीशै के साम्हने से भागकर नगर में गए; और योआब अम्मोनियोंके पास से लौटकर यरूशलेम को आ गया।

15 जब उस ने अरामियोंको जो इस्राएलियोंके साम्हने मारे गए थे, देखा, तो वे फिर ठीक हो गए।

16 तब हददेजेर ने भेजकर अरामियोंको जो महानद के उस पार थे, हेलाम में ले आए, और हददेजेर के सेनापति का प्रधान शोबक उनके आगे आगे चला।

17 जो कुछ दाऊद ने सुनाया, उस ने सब इस्राएलियोंको इकट्ठा किया, और यरदन पार होकर हेलान को आया; और अरामियोंने दाऊद से युद्ध किया, और उस से लड़े।

18 परन्तु अरामी इस्राएलियोंके साम्हने से भाग गए, और दाऊद ने अरामियोंमें से सात सौ रथोंऔर चालीस हजार सवारोंको मारा;

19 जब हददेजेर के दासोंके सब राजाओं ने देखा, कि हम इस्राएलियोंके साथ बीमार हैं, तब उन्होंने इस्राएल से मेल करके उनकी उपासना की; और अरामी अम्मोनियों को और अधिक सहायता देने से डरते थे।

David defeats the Ammonites and the Syrians

1 And it came to pass after this that the king of the children of Ammon died, and his son Hanun reigned in his stead.

2 Then David said, I will show kindness to Hanun the son of Naash, as his father he showed kindness to me. And he sent David to comfort him, by the ministry of his servants, concerning his father: and the servants of David came into the land of the children of Ammon.

3 Then said the princes of the children of Ammon unto their lord Hanun, Doth David honor thy father in thy sight, because he hath sent comforters? Did not David send thee of his servants to recognize this city, and to spy out it, and to overturn it?

4 So Hanun took David's servants, and shaved off half their beard, and cut off half their garments, even to the buttocks, and sent them away.

5 He who made known to David sent to find them, because these men were exceedingly ashamed; and the king said, Let yourselves be in Jericho, until your beard grows back; and then come.

6 When the children of Ammon saw that they had become abominable to David, they sent the children of Ammon, and hired from the Syrus of Beth-recob and the Syrus of Zobah twenty thousand men standing, and from the king of Maachah a thousand men and from the Tobe's men twelve thousand men.

7 And David hearing, sent Joab and all the mighty army.

8 And the children of Ammon went out, and commanded the battle at the entrance of the gate: but the Syrians of Zobah and Resh, and the men of Tob and Maacah, were in the field apart.

9 So when Joab saw that the front of the battle was prepared against him, before and behind he chose from among all the chosen ones of Israel, and formed them in line against the Syrians.

10 And the rest of the people delivered into the hand of Abishai their brother, which they formed in line against the children of Ammon.

11 And he said, If the Syrians be stronger than I, thou shalt come to my aid; and if the children of Ammon are stronger than you, I will come to your aid.

12 Be strong therefore, and let us be strong for our people, and for the cities of our God: and the LORD do then that which seems good in his sight.

13 So Joab and the people that were with him drew near to the battle against the Syrians; and fled from before him.

14 And when the children of Ammon saw that the Syrians fled, they also fled from before Abishai, and entered the city: and Joab returned from the children of Ammon, and came to Jerusalem.

15 When he saw the Syrians that had been smitten before Israel, they were restored again.

16 And Hadadezer sent, and brought forth the Syrians that were on the other side of the river, and they came to Helam: and Shobak, chief of Hadadezer's host, marched before them.

17 As David informed him, he gathered all Israel, and passed over Jordan, and came to Helan; and the Syrians set themselves in order against David, and fought with him.

18 But the Syrians fled from before Israel, and David smote from among the Syrians the men of seven hundred chariots and forty thousand horsemen;

19 When all the kings that were servants of Hadadezer saw that they had been ill with Israel, they made peace with Israel, and served them; and the Syrians feared to give more help to the children of Ammon.

1 E aconteceu depois disto que morreu o rei dos filhos de Amom, e seu filho Hanum reinou em seu lugar.

2 Então disse Davi: Usarei de beneficência com Hanum, filho de Naás, como seu pai usou de beneficência comigo. E enviou Davi a consolá-lo, pelo ministério de seus servos, acerca de seu pai: e vieram os servos de Davi à terra dos filhos de Amom.

3 Então disseram os príncipes dos filhos de Amom a seu senhor, Hanum: Porventura honra Davi a teu pai aos teus olhos, porque enviou consoladores? porventura não te enviou Davi os seus servos para reconhecerem esta cidade, e para espiá-la, e para transtorná-la?

4 Então tomou Hanum os servos de Davi, e lhes raspou metade da barba, e lhe cortou metade dos vestidos, até as nádegas, e os despediu.

5 O que fazendo saber a Davi enviou a encontrá-los, porque estavam estes homens sobremaneira envergonhados; e disse o rei: Deixai-vos estar em Jericó, até que vos torne a crescer a barba; e então vinde.

6 Vendo pois os filhos de Amom, que se tinham feitos abomináveis para Davi, enviaram os filhos de Amom, e alugaram dos siros de Bete-Recobe e dos siros de Zobá vinte mil homens de pé, e do rei de Maaca mil homens e dos homens de Tobe doze mil homens.

7 O que ouvindo Davi, enviou a Joabe e a todo exército dos valentes.

8 E saíram os filhos de Amom, e ordenaram a batalha  à entrada da porta: mas os siros de Zobá e Recobe, e os homens de Tobe e Maaca estavam à parte no campo.

9 Vendo pois Joabe que estava preparada contra ele a frente da batalha, por diante e por detrás escolheu dentre todos os escolhido de Israel, e formou-os em linha contra os siros.

10  E o resto do povo entregou na mão de Abisai  seu irmão, o qual formou em linha contra os filhos de Amom.

11 E disse: Se os siros forem mais fortes do que eu, tu me virás em socorro; e se os filhos de Amom forem mais fortes do que tu, irei a socorrer-te a ti.

12 Esforça-te pois e esforcemo-nos pelo nosso povo, e pelas cidades de nosso Deus: e faça o Senhor então o que bem parecer aos seus olhos.

13  Então se achegou Joabe, e o povo que estava com ele, à peleja contra os siros; e fugiram de diante dele.

14 E, vendo os filhos de Amom que os siros fugiam, também eles fugiram de diante de Abisai e entraram na cidade: e voltou Joabe dos filhos de Amom e veio para Jerusálem.

15 Vendo pois os siros que tinham sido feridos diante de Israel tornaram a refazer-se.

16 e enviou Hadadezer e fez sair os siros que estavam da outra banda do rio, e vieram a Helão: e Sobaque, chefe do exército de Hadadezer, marchava diante deles.

12 And Mephibosheth had a little son, whose name was Micah: and all that dwelt in the house of Ziba were servants of Mephibosheth.

13 So Mephibosheth dwelt in Jerusalem, because he ate continually at the king's table, and was lame in both feet.

11 And from the day that I commanded that there be judges over my people Israel: but I gave thee rest to thee from all thine enemies: the LORD also hath made known that the LORD will make thee a house.

12 When thy days are full, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, then I will cause thy seed to rise up after thee from thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom.

13 He will build a house to my name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.

14 I will be his father, and he shall be my son: and if he should transgress, I will punish him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the sons of men.

16 But thy house thy kingdom shall be established for ever before thee: thy throne shall be steadfast for ever.

18 Then king David came in, and stood before the LORD, and said, Who am I, LORD Jehovah, and what is my house, that thou hast brought me hither?

19 And this was yet little in your sight, O Lord Jehovah, but that thou also spoke of thy servant's house to times afar off: is this the custom of men, O Lord Jehovah?

20 And what more will David speak to you? For you know your servant well, O Lord Jehovah.

21 Because of thy word, and after thy heart, thou hast done all this greatness: making it known to thy servant.

22 Therefore, great art thou, O Lord Jehovah, for there is none like thee, and there is no God but thee alone, according to all that we have heard with our ears.

23 And who is there like your people, like Israel, the only people in the land? whom God went to rescue for his people; and to be made a name, and to do unto you these great and terrible things, for thy land, before thy people, whom thou hast rescued from Egypt, banishing the nations and their gods.

24 And thou hast established thy people Israel for thy people forever, and thou, LORD, hast become their God.

25 Now therefore, O Lord Jehovah, this word which thou hast spoken concerning thy servant and concerning thy house, confirm it forever, and do as thou hast spoken.

26 And may thy name be magnified for ever, that it may be said, The LORD of hosts is God over Israel; and the house of thy servant will be established before thee.

27 For thou Lord of hosts, God of Israel, hast revealed it in the ear of thy servant, saying, I will build thee a house. Therefore your servant has found it in his heart to pray this prayer to you.

28 Now therefore, O Lord Jehovah, thou art the same God, and thy words are truth, and thou hast spoken this good to thy servant.

29 Be ye therefore now to bless the house of thy servant, to remain before thee for ever, for thou, O LORD Jehovah, hast spoken it; and with thy blessing the house of thy servant shall be blessed forever.

4 Porém sucedeu naquela mesma noite, que a palavra do Senhor veio a Natã, dizendo:

5 Vai e dize ao meu servo, a Davi: Assim diz o Senhor: Edificar-me-ias tu casa para a minha habitação?

6 Porque em casa nenhuma habitei desde o dia em que fiz subir os filhos de Israel do Egito até ao dia de hoje: mas andei em tenda e em tabernáculo.

7 E em todo o lugar em que andei com todos os filhos de Israel, falei porventura alguma palavra com qualquer das tribos de Israel, a quem mandei apascentar o meu povo de Israel, dizendo: Por  que não me edificais uma casa de cedros?
