Consultation of priests
8 When anything is difficult for you in judgment, between blood and blood, between demand and demand, between wound and wound, in the matter of toil upon your gates, then shall you arise, and go up to the place which the LORD thy God shall choose;
9 And thou shalt come unto the Levite priests, and to the judge that is in those days, and inquire, and shall declare unto thee the word that is of judgment.
10 And thou shalt do according to the word of the word which they shall declare unto thee from the place which the LORD shall choose; and you will be careful to do according to all that they teach you.
11 According to the commandment of the law which they shall teach thee, and according to the judgment which they shall say unto thee, thou shalt do: From the word which they shall declare unto thee, thou shalt not turn to the right hand or to the left.
12 And if a man stand proudly, and will not hearken unto the priest, which is there to serve the LORD thy God, nor the judge, the same man shall die: and thou shalt take away the evil of Israel.
13 That all the people might hear and fear him, and never again be proud.
