Judges' Duties
18 Judges and officers shall you put in all your gates which the LORD your God may give you among your tribes, that they may judge the people with a righteous judgment.
19 Thou shalt not twist judgment, nor show respect to persons, nor take bribes; because the bribe blinds the eyes of the wise, and perverts the words of the righteous.
20 Righteousness, righteousness shall you follow; that you may live, and inherit the land which the LORD your God will give you.
21 You shall not plant any grove of trees by the altar of the LORD your God which you make for yourself.
22 Neither shalt thou raise up a statue, which the LORD thy God hates.
